We are recruiting for a candidate with performance measurement, reporting and portfolio analytics experience to join our Investment Performance Team within the SEI Europe Wealth Platform – Operations. You will mainly be assisting with the timely and accurate delivery of client portfolio performance services, vetting returns data input, as well as participating in strategic and tactical projects to enhance SEI’s service offering and overall quality of processes.

This role would suit a client focused and self-directed professional who is comfortable working in a global environment (India based Offshore Performance Analysts and US based Tech Support), who possesses an analytical mindset with a collaborative approach and a strong understanding of all technical issues associated with performance measurement in the financial services industry. 

As a future Performance Specialist, you will join the Performance Reporting Group which sits within Global Wealth Platform Operations.

What you’ll do:

Operational Support

  • You will have responsibility for the production, validation and reporting and/or secondary review of monthly client portfolio performance and benchmarks returns data calculations to the highest level of accuracy within agreed SLAs.

  • You will act as an escalation point for any issues or questions that arise from the Offshore Performance Team.

  • You will independently handle complex exception resolution, leveraging deep technical knowledge to ensure data integrity, driving consistent service delivery.

Subject Matter Expert

  • You will be expected to use your theoretical knowledge to set up, interpret, and scrutinise system-generated performance output (e.g.: Multi Asset Portfolio returns, Contribution & Attribution returns).

  • You will assist the team with the development of new ideas to further improve the detection of data gaps and overall efficiency of existing processes using Excel, VBA, Power BI and SQL predominantly. 

  •  You will be the Subject Matter Expert on Performance, Attribution and Benchmark, acting as a resource on routine and complex queries from the internal teams and external clients.

  • You will be expected to follow industry trends and standards as well as understand how the internal performance product is evolving to fulfill growing demands from clients.

  • You will establish and strengthen existing relationships with SEI’s client firms and internal stakeholders (Client Reporting, Operations, Client Services, and Development support teams).

Project Management

  • You will assist the team with tactical and strategic client firms’ projects and other business tasks as assigned and seek to complete these within the expected timescales.

  • You will actively participate in the testing of all technology upgrades, providing support pre and post implementation of new performance solutions as well as the adoption within the organisation.

What we need from you:
  • A strong academic background preferably in Economics/Finance, or Math/Engineering (or equivalent)

  • Demonstrable experience in an investment performance or portfolio analytics role

  • Knowledge of performance measurement and attribution methodologies

  • Advanced Excel skills including VBA macro

  • Proficient in SQL and Power BI (Preferred)

  • Solid understanding of different asset types and multi-asset portfolios
