Position Overview:Finning is the world's largest Caterpillar dealer. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer experiences and innovative solutions. We are looking for a dedicated People Partner to join our team on a fixed term contract, to the end of December 2025.

Job Description:

The People Partner will work closely with all areas of the wider People team to deliver effective and evidence-based HR solutions. You will support and enable the organization to achieve its people strategy and vision, focusing on cultivating a positive workplace by implementing HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Insights and HR Business Partners to create and design solutions for our people-focused initiatives.

  • Break down and prioritize People challenges into actionable plans, managing timelines and budgets to support the People strategy.

  • Utilize research and analysis from HR Insights to produce People initiatives and inform decision-making processes.

  • Provide proactive support and coaching to leaders, fostering engaging leadership and contributing to a high-performing, inclusive work environment.

  • Facilitate change management processes and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.

  • Assist in designing and delivering programs related to People projects.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the People team.

  • Participate in internal process and policy reviews.

  • Develop and implement innovative People service delivery methods, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance the People function.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • CIPD member (level 5) or other relevant membership of a professional body.

  • Experience in HR business partnering or similar roles where strategic alignment with business goals is key.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing HR projects from inception to completion.

  • Experience in facilitating change management processes and effectively communicating with stakeholders.

  • Experience in conducting research and analysis to support HR initiatives and decision-making.

  • Experience in designing and delivering HR programs and initiatives.

  • Experience in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within HR teams.
