Hello. We’re Teya.

Teya was founded on a simple belief: local businesses deserve better.

They are the cafés, restaurants, salons, shops and entrepreneurs that bring character to our high streets, create jobs and keep communities moving. Yet for too long, financial services has made life harder for them - with clunky tools, poor support and complexity that gets in the way of running a business.

Teya exists to change that.

We’re building a financial platform for local businesses across Europe - one built around simple tools, thoughtful design and real human support. Our Members rely on us to help them run their business with confidence, and that responsibility shapes the way we work.

We move fast. We care about quality. We stay close to the detail. And we believe great performance and genuine hospitality should go hand in hand.

If you want to build meaningful products, solve real problems and make a genuine difference for local businesses, we’d love to hear from you

Your Mission

Teya is scaling rapidly, and the UK region sits at the centre of that growth. We're building a high-performing commercial organisation spanning Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Field Operations — and we're looking for a People Partner to play a key role in how the region grows and thrives.

This role works closely with UK commercial leaders to connect people priorities with business outcomes. You'll support leaders across the commercial organisation with the day-to-day and the strategic — from performance and engagement to organisational effectiveness — helping to build a culture where people do their best work and teams are set up to deliver.
You'll balance a practical, hands-on approach with a broader view of what the organisation needs to scale. The impact of this role will be felt in stronger leadership, more effective teams, and a commercial environment that attracts and retains top talent.

This team is also one of Teya's first points of connection with our members. The people in this organisation are often the first face a member sees — which means how you support and shape them doesn't just affect internal performance, it directly influences the experience and growth of the members they serve. Helping this team thrive is, in many ways, helping Teya's members thrive too.

Responsibilities

  • Support leaders with guidance on team effectiveness, people development, and workforce planning.

  • Get involved in grassroots projects where you'll have real ownership — helping to shape the next generation of selling partners and contributing to how we build commercial capability from the ground up.

  • Use people data and insights to help inform business decisions and identify future capability needs.

  • Coach and support managers to build stronger feedback cultures, improve performance conversations, and lead with greater confidence.

  • Work closely with the global People team to shape talent strategies that attract, develop, and retain strong commercial talent.

  • Help identify future leaders and support development and succession conversations across key roles.

  • Support the delivery of performance, compensation, and engagement cycles for the UK commercial organisation, ensuring clarity and fairness in partnership with CoE teams.

  • Contribute to building the foundations for how we attract, onboard, develop, and retain top commercial talent in the UK.

  • Champion Teya's culture and values within a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales Ops, and Reward to ensure structure, incentives, and headcount plans are aligned to business needs.

  • Handle a range of ER cases — from performance and absence to disciplinaries and grievances — with sound judgement, empathy, and a focus on fair, practical outcomes in line with UK employment law.

  • Contribute to broader people initiatives and share knowledge and learnings across the People Partnering team.

The Perks

  • We trust you, so we offer flexible working hours, as long it suits both you and your team;

  • Physical and mental health support through our partnership with GymPass giving free access to over 1,500 gyms in the UK, 1-1 therapy, meditation sessions, digital fitness and nutrition apps;

  • Our company offers extended and improved maternity and paternity leave choices, giving employees more flexibility and support;

  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme;

  • Health and Life Insurance;

  • Pension Scheme;

  • 25 days of Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays);

  • Office snacks every day;

  • Friendly, comfortable and informal office environment in Central London.

Teya is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or background can thrive and do their best work. We believe that a diverse team leads to better ideas, stronger outcomes, and a more supportive workplace for all.

If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process whether for interviews, assessments, or other parts of the application—we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to ensuring that every candidate has a fair and accessible experience with us.
