ARNE is a UK-based apparel and footwear brand based in Birchwood Park, near Warrington. We design and develop all our products in the UK, working with trusted manufacturing partners across both the near and far east.

A successful People Advisor will:

Will provide clear, practical HR guidance across all areas of ARNE which supports a high performing culture, strengthens engagement and capability across the business. You will partner with key stakeholders across the business to ensure smooth people operations, guide people related decisions and maintain strong H&S compliance across ARNE sites.

You will impact ARNE’s Strategy through:

Creatinga high-performing workforce by equipping leaders with the tools, guidance, and insights they need to drive capability, future readiness, and long-term sustainability. You will strengthen data-led decision making by translating HR analytics into clear, actionable recommendations, and you will partner with the wider People Team to shape culture and enhance the employee value proposition, helping to position ARNE as one of the best places to work.

Your day-to-day role and responsibilities include: 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee ARNE's benefits offering, ensuring this is appropriately communicated to Colleagues throughout the employee life cycle (i.e. interview, onboarding, during employment), supporting with Colleague queries and training on how to access. 
  • Manage the benefits administration, ensuring all new starters and leavers are processed onto the system in a timely manner.
  • As required, build relationships with benefit providers (for potential new and current benefits), presenting ideas, terms and costs to the Head of People for review.
  • Manage annual leave balances across the business, ensuring that Managers are actively promoting Colleagues to utilise their balance evenly throughout the year.

Culture & EDI.

  • Lead ARNE's engagement and wellbeing initiatives for both HQ and Retail, creating a calendar of events throughout the year which adds value and creates impact.
  • Work with the wider People Team to ensure that ARNE promotes its wellbeing and engagement activities on social media to drive our employee value proposition.
  • Support the Head of People in facilitating employee voice channels, reviewing and presenting data, and suggesting actions to improve engagement and employee experience across ARNE.
  • Drive recognition through ARNE's Management and Leadership Teams to ensure that there is meaningful recognition across the business.
  • Build on ARNE's internal communication (through the likes of BOB, emails and newsletters), to ensure that Colleagues remain informed with business updates. 

Employee Relations

  • Support with all ER matters (including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working etc), supporting and advising Managers on best practice, and seeking advice from the Head of People as required.
  • Ensure that ARNE's internal HR system is up to date and utilised (by both the People Team and Managers).
  • Coordinate relevant off-boarding processes for leavers, including conducting exit interview, tech shut down, and issuing accept resignations as required.
  • Manage all relevant contractual changes, ensuring appropriate documentation is issued to Colleagues in a timely manner, with relevant system updates and approvals followed at all times.
  • Support Managers and Colleagues in resolving conflict quickly, including investigating complaints and suggesting ways to improve working relationships.
  • Continuously review and address absence related issues (i.e. AWOL, sickness).

H&S / Facilities

  • Oversee day-to-day facilitates management across ARNE HQ / ARNE Retail in partnership with Cubic Works.
  • Oversee day-to-day H&S management (working with Citation), to ensure H&S compliance across all ARNE sites.

Learning & Development

  • Work with the Head of People in ensuring that all Colleagues across ARNE have development plans in place, ensuring these are continuously reviewed.
  • Support in building training material, and sourcing external training providers, for Leadership Development, Management Development, and Colleague Upskilling.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Generalist HR Advisor, with strong capability in managing the end-to-end employee life cycle.
  • Confident in applying UK employment law and best practice, with sound judgement across a wide range of ER matters.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle a varied and fast-paced workload.
  • Approachable and people-focused, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Confident and proactive, with a results-driven mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Experience in Retail or eCommerce environments is desirable but not essential.
