The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio. The internal coating and materials laboratories and the strong collaborations with external research centers and universities allows to effectively address the challenges of the new products development.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in painting process.  The main responsibilities in the Compatibility & Coating Solution Team will be the definition of internal standards for painting, the qualification of external suppliers, support to ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as coating specialist, resolution of non-conformities.

Responsibilities:

As a Painting Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Definition of internal standards for painting process
  • Qualification of external suppliers
  • Resolution of non-conformities and deviations in coating process
  • Support in ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as painting specialist

 Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a technical secondary school diploma or higher
  • Technical expertise on painting process
  • Level II AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector Certification or equivalent;
  • Technical expertise on corrosion, materials/coatings characterization and testing
  • Knowledge of other coating processes, i.e. plating, thermal spray, … is a plus
  • Have excellent communication and written skills in English
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers
  • Be able to travel internationally
  • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions
  • Exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsibility for fully understanding and complying with company policies
