3011 – Manager, Social - UK

Role Summary and Impact

Airbnb is a global platform that goes beyond accommodation, offering a community where guests can book unique homes and stays, as well as participate in handcrafted experiences and services led by inspiring local hosts. As part of the social media team on this account, you will drive and support the media execution that powers this diverse global ecosystem.

The candidate will report into the Paid Social Account Director. Working within the Paid Social team, they will be integral to achieving client goals, and the development and optimization of Paid Social activity as part of integrated multi-channel campaigns. The ideal candidate will be expected to use their own initiative to manage Meta, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit. You will lead by example, taking responsibility for the guidance and development of offshore activation teams, with Social AD and BD.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Leading the planning, creation, and on-going management of Paid Social campaigns
  • Carrying out health checks on the accounts to ensure they are set up and running as per WPP best practice
  • Proactively performing regular optimization of accounts, monitoring market changes and identifying development opportunities
  • Creating and leading the execution of development and testing plans including media owner betas where possible
  • Preparing presentations and leading client calls and face to face meetings
  • Working with the AD to devise campaign strategy and translate this into campaign delivery
  • Delegating and managing workloads across the offshore activation team
  • The accurate management of budgets - internal and global spend trackers

 Skills and Experience

  • First class communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Exceptional hands on Paid Social experience and comprehensive knowledge of best practice across all major social platforms
  • Experience supporting, developing, and mentoring junior team members
  • Experience managing Brand and DR campaigns, optimising accounts to achieve performance targets
  • An expert in developing and implementing audience strategies to optimise Paid Social campaigns
  • Experienced in applying bid rules, buying methods and automation to optimise and complement campaign management tasks
  • Proficient in using advance features available within the native (Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, X, Linkedin, etc.) and 3rd party platforms (Smartly, Sprinklr).
  • Able to clearly articulate the rationale for proposed campaign tactics (channels, budget, audience, formats etc.) and present these back internally and to clients
  • Confident in new AI technologies and solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
