Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Netflix derives a significant competitive advantage from the highly analytical approach it takes to managing all aspects of the business. The Finance & Strategy team leverages internal and external data to develop best-in-class metrics, tools, analysis, insights and reporting for many business functions. This team supports deal negotiation and strategy, guides prioritisation efforts, and communicates the financial impact of key decisions across the company, partnering closely with the senior leadership of Netflix, who depend heavily on the insights we provide to inform business decisions.

As one of the largest media and entertainment companies in the world, Netflix is a significant contributor to the global creative economy. Our investments support businesses, create new jobs, spur additional economic activity, and open the door to new creative opportunities. As our investments grow, we are looking to improve our ability to measure this impact and better share the story of Netflix’s contribution to local economies. This role will advance Netflix’s measuring of this impact at scale from a financial and economic data perspective, working closely with Finance, Global Affairs, and Communications executives around the world to tell our story in a consistent and comprehensive manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global and regional Finance, Global Affairs, and Comms teams to source internal data, optimise economic impact modelling, and communicate Netflix’s contributions both internally and externally
  • Produce rigorous economic analysis across a wide spectrum of topics relevant to the digital media and entertainment sector, including Netflix’s own productions
  • Design and evolve internal tools and processes to scale economic impact analyses globally
  • Understand Netflix’s business deeply and adapt to market-specific positioning, while maintaining awareness of regulatory developments and providing context around company financial reporting
  • Develop a roadmap for economic research spanning key policy issues and serving Global Affairs and Comms teams globally
  • Regularly communicate and present analyses and reports in an easy-to-understand format to senior business leaders
  • Coordinate and build partnerships with a wide variety of internal stakeholders to build, strengthen and scale our economic contribution measurements

Qualifications:

Netflix maintains a flat organisational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. The ideal candidate will be prepared to regularly take on a mix of routine tasks and high-impact work, including presenting to senior executives in the company.

A successful candidate possesses:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical roles (management or economic consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or an equivalent role), with at least 3 years of background in economics and/or statistics (can include experience with a regulator, economic consultancy, or other related fields)
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work effectively in a fast‑paced, less structured environment, with high attention to detail when working with complex financial and economic data.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to independently identify questions, structure analyses, and follow through on work with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with econometrics principles and software, with the ability to manipulate large data sets and build advanced models
  • Superb financial modelling and framework development skills with extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and an ability to sort through complex data to crystallise business implications
  • Robust analytical skills complemented by effective communication skills (written and verbal), in order to articulate complex problems clearly and concisely to executives/senior management
  • Comfort working on ambiguous, cross-functional projects and driving clarity with stakeholders
  • Interest in the entertainment industry (film, television, music)

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.
