Reporting to the Head of Strategic Initiatives for HR, this pivotal role will own CDW's relationships with our non-profit partners, aligning activities with business outcomes and shared success. The role exists to embed Social Impact into all aspects of the CDW UK/International business, so that it becomes part of "how we work" rather than something inserted into business practice and decision-making.
What you will do
Social Impact strategy & programme delivery
- Design and implement a coworker volunteer and engagement strategy for the UK, building upon our global strategy and fostering a culture of volunteering.
- Translate the global Social Impact and Sustainability strategies into operational plans for UK&I, remaining agile to adapt to the changing needs and priorities of our local business.
- Oversee and manage all UK Social Impact initiatives and partnerships, ensuring they remain relevant and deliver continuously high levels of engagement.
- Build and activate region-specific Social Impact initiatives in partnership with leaders, ensuring that Social Impact is embedded into the business strategy.
- Develop, maintain and own project plans for key Social Impact initiatives, ensuring clarity on scope, milestones and deliverables, and coordinating tasks, dependencies, resources and timelines across all contributors.
- Build, plan and execute work experience activities in support of CDW business goals.
- Evaluate, update and promote current volunteer policies, processes and platforms, including the matching gifts programme.
- Regularly evaluate industry trends, data and insights to inform social impact programmes, leveraging digital and AI tools to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and impact.
Partnership management
- Build, grow and own relationships with partner charities that support CDW's digital opportunity strategy, provide coworker engagement opportunities and support social value initiatives.
- Align partner activities with business outcomes and shared success, ensuring partnerships deliver measurable value for CDW, our coworkers and our communities.
- Represent CDW at external charity events, meetings and activities.
Governance, budget & impact measurement
- Develop and maintain the governance approach for social impact partnerships and programmes, tracking progress, impact and ROI against PMP goals and plans.
- Anticipate risks, critical dependencies and critical path items, ensuring proactive mitigation and smooth execution.
Stakeholder management, communications & collaboration
- Lead the development and execution of regular Social Impact communications to key internal and external stakeholders, aligned to the global Social Impact and Sustainability strategies.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Brand teams to align Social Impact with overall brand strategy, partnerships and promotions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Business Resource Groups (BRGs).
- Support content development for the annual US and UK reports.
- Create concise, exec-ready materials to support updates, investment cases and steering discussions.
- Work effectively across functions, geographies and matrixed teams, demonstrating strong cultural awareness to ensure approaches are inclusive, locally relevant and aligned with global standards.
- Build key relationships across the business, using your influencing skills to gain buy-in and embed social impact into business decision-making.
