As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. 
 
About the Role

We are expanding our legal team and seeking a Legal Counsel with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the UK or Cyprus. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in commercial law, experience handling a variety of business agreements, and the ability to multitask effectively while managing deadlines efficiently.

Reporting Line: Reports to the Lead Legal Counsel.

You Will:

  • Provide legal support to our UK, Cyprus, and international offices.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate payment services-related agreements, including merchant acquirer agreements, payment services partnerships, and PSP agreements.
  • Handle commercial contracts, including partnership, vendor, software, merchant, referral, and reseller agreements.
  • Advise on the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide legal guidance on the Company’s cross-border operations, including service offerings across Europe, the UK, and other regions.
  • Manage special projects while overseeing day-to-day legal matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments and locations, contributing to various projects.

What we need:

  • Qualified lawyer with a strong academic background and 5+ years of post-qualification experience in the UK or Cyprus.
  • Experience in commercial and technology contracts, e-commerce, payments, and data privacy is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Card Schemes is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with financial services regulations in the UK, Cyprus, or the EU is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently

🚀 Hiring Process:

1️⃣ First Interview: Conducted by the Talent Acquisition team (30-40 min).

2️⃣ Second Interview: 1-hour deep-dive with the Hiring Manager, our Lead Legal Counsel

3️⃣ Final Behavioural Interview: Focused team fit, with participation from the Head of Talent Acquisition and the Group Chief Corporate Officer.

Location: 

  • This role will be based either in our Limassol or London office.
