This Lead Manager role sits within our Business Savings Products team within Business Banking. Our team are the business owners for Business Savings, with responsibility for the products and propositions we offer our business customers. 

 

The role will focus on commercial management of the savings books across both brands, with responsibility for growth, balances, income, cost management and profitability. Activities include trading, pricing management, balance forecasting and planning over the short, medium and long term. You will also have a key role to play in setting the product strategy as part of the overall Business Banking proposition.

For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our London, Northampton or Glasgow site approximately once or twice per week. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. Responsibilities

 

What you’ll be doing

 

This role will own and manage the commercial performance of the Business Savings book across both brands in order to achieve tactical and strategic customer, growth, risk and financial objectives. 

 

Your team will have responsibility for day-to-day trading activity across the savings books, managing pricing and product availability. You will also take the lead on annual planning and forecasting activity.

 

As part of this activity, you will work hand in hand with our Finance, Treasury, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Operational stakeholders. 

 

You will work closely with the wider product team(s) to ensure we offer products and propositions which align to our commercial and customer objectives. 

 

You’ll be expected to work closely with the Leadership Team within Business Banking to ensure alignment on plans and proposals.
 

About you

 

  • Experience working in a product management role or in a similar role managing financial products and delivering change
  • Demonstrated ability to put customers at the heart of decision-making, using insight to shape products and journeys
  • Working knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including Consumer Duty and its impact on product design and delivery
  • Experience leading or contributing to change initiatives within a complex organisation
  • Proven commercial acumen, including experience managing customer value, income engagement and retention in a regulated banking environment 
  • Evidence of cross-functional leadership, with the ability to align Products with Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime and Procurement around shared customer and commercial outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence representing Products internally and adapting complex messages for senior, technical and customer-facing audiences
  • Experience in the intermediated deposits space across Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime and Procurement
