About the Role

This is a junior role, but not a “passive” one. You will be part of the Infrastructure team and be trusted with the day-to-day IT and workplace technology operations in the London office.

You will own first-line support and office IT fundamentals, and over time you will have a clear path to grow into deeper infrastructure areas such as cloud, security, application ownership, or databases. Growth is based on reliability and accountability, not tenure.

Location and working model

London, UK

Full time, office-based role; 5 days per week on site, providing full office coverage.

Occasional travel to other ICE sites in other countries (optional).

Key Responsibilities:

London office coverage; hands-on support

  • Provide first-line, and second-line, support for laptops, desktops, printers, meeting rooms, video conferencing, and peripherals
  • Support Windows and Mac devices, Microsoft 365, and user access issues
  • Handle joiners and leavers on site; device setup, access checks, and secure handover/return
  • Resolve basic connectivity issues (WiFi, VPN, peripherals); escalate correctly when needed
  • Maintain device inventory and assist with lifecycle tasks

Ticketing, process, and documentation

  • Log, track, and resolve service desk requests according to defined procedures
  • Document common issues and solutions clearly; contribute to runbooks and knowledge bases
  • Follow access, security, and change processes consistently

Office ops and people-facing work

  • Be the on-site point of contact for IT issues in the London office
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, replacements, and basic maintenance
  • Ensure meeting rooms and office tech are always ready and working
  • Support office-related IT logistics as needed

Cross-site exposure (optional)

  • Occasionally travel to other ICE sites for support or for team events

Requirements and Qualifications:

Mindset

  • Self-starting and reliable; you follow through on what you promise
  • Accountable; you raise issues early and take ownership of outcomes
  • Approachable and caring; much of the role is helping people and building trust

Experience and skills

  • Basic to solid knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory and identity concepts
  • Basic networking knowledge; WiFi, IP addressing, VPN concepts
  • You will also need good interpersonal relationship skills as well as excellent written and oral skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Any prior IT support or service desk experience
  • Degree in Computer Science or similar; or equivalent hands-on experience; or Microsoft Professional Certification
  • Basic Linux familiarity
  • Curiosity about infrastructure, cloud, security, or systems engineering

Growth opportunity

This role sits firmly in the Infrastructure team. If you prove dependable on the fundamentals, you will be given space to grow into cloud operations, security, application management, or database support.

Apply

If you want an entry-level role where trust, accountability, and caring with people matter; and you’re willing to earn your way into broader infrastructure responsibilities; we’d like to hear from you.

What we offer:
  • Competitive local benefits based on your location
  • We promote flexible working regarding time and/or place
  • Both mental and physical health initiatives
  • Corporate pension scheme
  • Comprehensive training and development opportunities
  • Industry insider events, team socials and company events
  • Enhanced holiday allowance

We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and any other protected characteristic.
We are committed to making all stages of our recruitment process accessible to candidates with disabilities. Please speak to our recruitment team and we will work with you to make reasonable adjustments to ensure you can perform at your best throughout your application.
