The Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our European HR team on a 5-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will be a first point of contact for employees, supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth execution of HR operational processes across the UK and wider European region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied HR support role and thrives in a dynamic, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient and effective handling of daily HR administration and routine operational processes.
  • Provision of support to employees and managers on HR-related queries, working closely with the HR Manager.
  • Employee data and record management – ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all processing activities.
  • Provision of accurate, complete and timely inputs into the monthly payroll cycle.
  • Support for corporate HR initiatives, process optimisation, and proactive participation in European HR projects in collaboration with the wider HR team.
  • Liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in HR administration or HR services.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset and a hands-on approach.
  • Preferred: Experience working in an international company, entry-level HR certification (academic / vocational).
