eBay is seeking a strategic and commercially minded leader to head our Seller Events, Community & Engagement function in the UK.

Reporting to the B2C Director and serving as a member of the UK B2C Leadership Team, this is a highly visible role responsible for shaping how eBay connects with, engages, and supports sellers across the UK. You will define and implement a comprehensive seller engagement strategy spanning events, community-building, social engagement, peer-to-peer learning, and seller recognition.

You will lead a strategically important function that strengthens seller loyalty, drives participation, builds community, and creates meaningful connections between sellers and eBay. Working closely with teams across Marketing, Communications, Product, Customer Support, Category, and Trading, you will ensure seller engagement programmes support broader marketplace priorities and deliver measurable business impact.

What You Will Accomplish...Lead Seller Events
  • Define and deliver the UK seller events strategy, ensuring events support business objectives and bring value for sellers.
  • Be responsible for a portfolio of in-person, virtual, and hybrid experiences that drive engagement, education, adoption, and growth.
  • Continuously evolve event formats and experiences to maximise impact, innovation, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead agency partners, suppliers, budgets, and resources to deliver best-in-class execution.
Build & Grow Community
  • Develop and scale a vibrant seller community that champions participation, learning, connection, and belonging.
  • Create programmes that encourage peer-to-peer learning, networking, and knowledge sharing across seller segments.
  • Lead seller recognition initiatives and community experiences that celebrate success and strengthen affinity with eBay.
  • Expand engagement with emerging entrepreneurs and future seller audiences.
Drive Seller Engagement
  • Develop strategies that increase seller participation, engagement, and loyalty across eBay's seller ecosystem.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications teams to connect sellers with relevant programmes, content, and experiences.
  • Leverage seller insights and feedback to continuously improve engagement approaches and inform broader business priorities.
Lead & Influence
  • Build and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a member of the UK B2C Leadership Team, contributing to broader business strategy and organisational priorities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across the business and champion the voice of the seller in strategic decision-making.
  • Establish clear success measures and use data and insights to evaluate impact and optimise performance.
What you will bring...
  • Significant leadership experience in customer engagement, community, events, marketing, or related functions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that drive customer engagement and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams and developing organisational capability.
  • Strong commercial foresight, including budget ownership, resource management, and investment prioritisation.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives in complex organisations.
  • Experience delivering large-scale customer or seller engagement programmes, including events and community initiatives.
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to translate insights into action and business impact.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
