About the Role:

This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building relationships, driving new opportunities, and shaping the public image of a leading sport and entertainment agency. As Head of New Business & Marketing, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth, connecting with clients, crafting compelling pitches, and ensuring our agency stands out in the industry. You’ll lead both strategic outreach and marketing efforts, working closely with internal teams and external partners to bring in new business and elevate our profile.

We’re looking for a dynamic individual who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Someone who is as comfortable prospecting new clients as they are shaping thought leadership, planning events, and managing PR efforts. If you have a passion for sport and entertainment and know how to turn connections into opportunities, this could be the perfect role for you.

Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

New Business Development

  • Own and drive the new business pipeline for the UK agency, targeting both network and non-network opportunities.
  • Build and nurture relationships within the Omnicom network, particularly OMG, to generate leads and spark conversations around sport and entertainment.
  • Lead outbound prospecting efforts and manage all inbound enquiries, assessing opportunities against agreed criteria and working with department heads to shape responses.
  • Manage all RFI/RFP processes, leading client communications, coordinating internal support, and ensuring high quality, winning submissions.
  • Educate Omnicom network staff and potential clients about Fuse’s capabilities through compelling credentials and case studies.

Marketing & Agency Profile

  • Develop and execute the agency’s marketing strategy, including communication plans, social media presence, events, awards, and industry conferences.
  • Manage the relationship with our retained PR agency to enhance the profile of the CEO, UK Managing Director, and key board members.
  • Drive a steady drumbeat of thought leadership, securing speaking engagements, press features, and commentary in both industry and national media.
  • Leverage internal initiatives, standout client work, thought leadership and global news to continuously improve engagement across all communications channels.
  • Plan and execute two major new business events per year, aligning with key sport and entertainment moments to showcase Fuse’s expertise.
  • Oversee the development of case studies, credentials, and other business development collateral.
  • Collaborate with the broader Omnicom new business community, sharing insights and leads to support the group’s success.

Desired Skills & Experiences

  • Significant experience in a new business and marketing role within a sport/entertainment agency or media
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and nurture both new and existing relationships
  • Confident in crafting and delivering presentations to senior brand clients
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale RFPs as well as smaller, ad hoc business development initiatives
  • Deep understanding of the marketing needs of an agency business

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, proactive individual to shape the future of our agency. We'd love to hear from you if you have the vision and energy to drive new business and elevate our brand.

You need to have the ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on-site events, and some weekend work.

This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.

Fuse job descriptions are not intended to be restrictive and are a guideline to the duties in this role.

We are committed to providing comprehensive training & development plans for all team members.
