At JetBrains, code is our passion. Since 2000, we've been committed to creating powerful, user-friendly developer tools. By automating routine tasks, we enable developers to innovate, grow, and create.

The Internal Communications team performs a highly strategic function at JetBrains. By ensuring information flows seamlessly and our unique culture thrives, we empower our people to focus on what they do best – building exceptional software for developers.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced communications leader to build and lead our internal communications globally. In this high-impact role, you will work closely with senior executives, product, HR, and regional teams to align people around strategy, support organizational change, and enable fast, transparent knowledge sharing. The ideal candidate brings editorial excellence, operational rigor, and a clear, confident communication style. They are comfortable navigating ambiguity and thrive in dynamic environments where clarity, speed, and judgment are critical.

This role reports to the VP of Strategy and can be based in any European country where JetBrains has a legal presence.

In this role, you will:
  • Create and run a global internal communications plan: Define our channels, rules, tone of voice, and shared content calendar.
  • Build a clear internal media system: Develop all-hands meetings, AMAs, leadership updates, newsletters, wikis/portals, videos/podcasts, and other channels – with clear ownership and one place for people to find what they need.
  • Work with leadership on change communications: Explain product, tech, strategy, and organizational updates and prepare cascades, playbooks, and toolkits to help managers communicate.
  • Shape and communicate our internal product and tech story: Connect AI and strategy to daily work, reduce ambiguity, and show how engineering efforts tie to the company vision.
  • Keep internal and external messages aligned: Collaborate with PR/Brand, HR, Product, Strategy, and Legal teams and prepare FAQs, briefing packs, and decks.
  • Set up fast and consistent editorial and announcement processes: Ensure teams can announce news quickly and clearly without adding noise.
  • Measure impact: Track reach, clarity, sentiment, motivation, and alignment (including eNPS) and use the data to improve.
  • Promote knowledge sharing: Grow ambassador networks, tech talks, and similar programs to spread learning, spark innovation, and reduce duplication across teams.
Wed be happy to have you on our team if you have:
  • 5+ years of experience in internal/corporate communications, with a strong track record in change, strategic, and organizational communications for tech or product companies.
  • Extensive experience partnering with engineering leaders and developer organizations in engineering-centric companies, especially during periods of rapid technological change and high-velocity rollouts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • The proven ability to build or scale internal communications functions and to lead programs through complex, technological, and organizational changes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, HR, Strategy, Legal, and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills and a data-driven approach to measurement and continuous improvement.
  • A solid understanding of modern software development and the AI-enabled product landscape, as well as the ability to translate complex topics for diverse audiences.
