The Head of Corporate Communications will develop and lead CFC's global communications strategy, manage media relations, build industry relationships, and produce high-quality content to strengthen the company's reputation and support growth ambitions.
As CFC continues to scale, we have a new opportunity for a Head of Corporate Communications to lead and shape a high-impact communications strategy. This role calls for deep subject-matter expertise, alongside the ability to set clear direction while staying close to execution, ensuring our messaging lands with clarity and intent.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening CFC’s reputation across our markets through proactive media engagement, effective issues management, and content that reflects our expertise. Strong domain knowledge and established industry relationships will be key to building trust with journalists and sector leaders, keeping CFC part of the conversations that matter.
A strong awareness of the wider industry landscape will also be important in identifying emerging trends and using these insights to guide forward-looking communications that support our position as a market leader.
Working closely with senior leaders and the wider marketing team, you will ensure our messaging is aligned and supports our growth ambitions. Alongside the strategic remit, the role will involve delivering high-quality materials, managing PR partners and budgets, and tracking effectiveness to support continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of CFC’s global communications strategy, ensuring our narrative is clear and aligned with the direction of the business.
- Oversee external communications, including media relations, PR activity, and issues management, ensuring our voice is well positioned in the market.
- Act as a senior spokesperson for CFC and prepare leaders for key media engagement and external opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry voices, using your sector expertise and network to create opportunities for CFC.
- Produce high-quality content, from press releases to thought leadership and executive materials, setting the standard for tone and clarity.
- Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure communications are connected and reinforce our brand across all channels.
- Manage PR partners and the communications budget, ensuring activity is focused on the right priorities and delivers measurable value.
- Keep close to the wider industry landscape, spotting emerging trends and using these insights to shape forward-looking communications and maintain CFC’s position in the market.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Significant experience leading a high performing corporate communications in a fast-paced environment, ideally within insurance, financial services, technology, or other regulated sector.
- A confident and credible communicator with strong editorial judgement, able to shape narratives that land with impact at senior levels.
- An established network of media contacts, with the judgement and influence to engage them effectively and position CFC well.
- Comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, setting direction while staying close to delivery and quality.
- Strong experience managing media relations, PR programmes, and issues, with a calm and assured approach under pressure.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality content across a range of formats, including executive and market-facing communications.
- Able to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders, providing clear counsel and working collaboratively across the business.
- Strong awareness of the industry landscape, with the judgement to identify relevant trends and apply them to communications in a practical way.
