GROUP HEAD, NEW MEDIA & DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT

Role Purpose

Provide Group-wide strategic leadership for integrated media engagement, encompassing traditional media and new-generation digital platforms, to strengthen Jospong Group’s corporate reputation, stakeholder relationships, and public trust. The role leads the planning, governance, and execution of media strategies across the Group, ensuring the organization is reputation-resilient and prepared to communicate effectively during high-impact initiatives, policy-sensitive matters, and emerging issues—while balancing digital innovation with established traditional engagement channels.

KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

Group Integrated Media Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute a Group-wide integrated media and engagement strategy aligned with corporate affairs, governmental relations, and brand objectives.

  • Provide strategic leadership on the effective use of traditional and digital media platforms to enhance stakeholder engagement, public perception, and corporate visibility.

  • Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards for media engagement across subsidiaries and clusters.

  • Ensure consistency of messaging and positioning across all Group media channels.

Traditional Media Relations & Engagement
  • Lead relationships with print, television, radio, and other mainstream media platforms.

  • Oversee press engagement, media briefings, interviews, statements, and releases on behalf of the Group.

  • Manage proactive media outreach to promote Group initiatives and thought leadership.

  • Serve as escalation point for sensitive media enquiries and coverage.

Digital Engagement & Online Reputation Management
  • Lead proactive monitoring of digital channels to track public sentiment, emerging narratives, and reputational risks.

  • Translate media and digital insights into actionable intelligence for executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.

  • Build early-warning systems for emerging issues and public concerns affecting the Group.

Media Issues & Crisis Communications
  • Lead the Group’s media and digital response during reputational, regulatory, or policy-sensitive situations.

  • Coordinate closely with Corporate Affairs, Governmental Relations, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure unified messaging.

  • Oversee timely correction of misinformation and inaccurate narratives across both traditional and digital platforms.

  • Provide real-time strategic guidance to leadership during crisis situations.

Platforms, Analytics & Performance Management
  • Oversee deployment and optimization of media monitoring and analytics tools across traditional and digital channels.

  • Establish dashboards and reporting frameworks to measure reach, sentiment, engagement, and reputation indicators.

  • Continuously improve media engagement practices using data-driven insights and global best practices.

Executive Media Advisory & Visibility Support
  • Serve as trusted advisor to executive leadership on media positioning, digital presence, tone, timing, and platform utilization.

  • Support executive communications during major announcements, stakeholder engagements, and high-profile events.

  • Strengthen leadership visibility and thought leadership across appropriate traditional and digital platforms.

Capability Building & Continuous Improvement
  • Build internal media and digital engagement capability through coaching, frameworks, and knowledge-sharing across the Group.

  • Keep abreast of emerging media trends, digital tools, and regulatory considerations to keep the Group future-ready.

  • Drive innovation in media engagement while ensuring responsible, compliant, and ethical usage.

JOB SPECIFICATIONEducation
  • A Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.

  • A professional certification in Strategic Communications, Media Relations, or Reputation Management is an added advantage.

Experience
  • Minimum of twelve (12) years progressive experience in media relations, digital communications, or strategic communications, with at least five (5) years in a senior leadership or Group-level role.

  • Proven experience managing traditional media engagement and digital platforms in complex, high-stakes, or reputation-sensitive environments.

  • Prior exposure to corporate affairs, governmental relations, or large multi-business organizations is preferred.
