Reporting to the respective Zonal Business Manager, the role holder will be responsible for driving the growth of business and generation of revenue through GSM and Airtel Money customer acquisition, growing distribution infrastructure and effective management of the retail trade including supervising a field sales team within the assigned market.

Responsibilities
  • Implementation and adoption of effective distribution strategy to grow sales within the assigned zone
  • Ensure achievement of set key performance indicators as cascaded for the role
  • Prepare, plan and execute sales programs aimed at market penetration, relationship building, and market share growth to achieve required extraction per site in the market
  • Ensure internal collaboration, teamwork development and implementation of key management and sales routines
  • Effectively manage team and allocated resources by ensuring discipline and complete adherence to the set ways of working and standards 
  • Support achievement and compliance to Airtel Kenya branding/merchandising standards in the assigned market
  • Profile, pitch, recruit and manage Franchise partners and Distribution outlets in the market to drive market penetration & availability.  
  • Escalate any trade or network issues to the Line Manager and follow up for closure
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Diploma or Graduate degree
  • 4 to 6 years hands on experience in distribution and retail indirect sales within telecoms or FMCG industry
  • Goal oriented with demonstrated leadership skills capable of leading a disciplined effective team
  • Intermediate knowledge of business finance principles 
  • Good business acumen with data analytical skills 
  • Good presentation and effective communications skills
  • Proven ability to drive operational excellence through effective project execution, stakeholder management, and timely delivery of business objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to work in any region across the country
