About Abound

We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation.

And we've shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market-leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch.

Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top-tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs (Sifted, CNBC). Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.

About the role:

We are looking for a Graduate Tech Sourcer to help build the talent pipelines that will power Abound’s Engineering, Data Science, AI and Credit Risk teams.

This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is curious, proactive, and excited about learning how to find and engage exceptional technical talent. You’ll work closely with our Talent Partners and hiring managers; learning how to identify the right people, understand technical profiles, and build high-quality candidate pipelines.

We’re looking for someone with strong research skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in people and technology who is keen to develop their sourcing expertise.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support targeted sourcing strategies to identify high-quality technical talent

  • Research and identify candidates for engineering, data science, AI and credit risk roles

  • Learn how to use sourcing tools and platforms to find both active and passive candidates

  • Support candidate outreach and develop engaging, personalised messages

  • Work closely with Talent Partners and hiring managers to understand role requirements and refine search approaches

  • Build and maintain well-structured talent pipelines within our ATS (Ashby)

  • Conduct market research and talent mapping to understand where relevant candidates can be found

  • Track sourcing activity and help analyse pipeline health, response rates, and conversion

  • Keep candidate information accurate and up to date throughout the hiring process

  • Contribute ideas to improve our sourcing processes, tools, and candidate engagement

  • Develop your understanding of technical roles, skills, and the technology talent market

Who you are:

  • 0–1 years’ experience in recruitment, sourcing, research, or a similar role, including internships, placements, or relevant graduate experience

  • A strong interest in technology and curiosity about how different technical roles and skills fit together

  • Excellent research skills and an ability to find relevant information from different sources

  • Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple searches and pipelines

  • A clear and confident communicator, both written and verbally

  • Curious and proactive, with a willingness to ask questions, learn, and try new approaches

  • Comfortable working with data and using insights to improve your approach

  • Able to work collaboratively with Talent Partners and hiring managers

  • Motivated to build a career in technical sourcing and talent

  • Previous exposure to LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, GitHub, or other sourcing/recruitment tools is a plus, but not required

What we offer:

  • Everyone owns a piece of the company - equity

  • Hybrid with 3 days a week in the office

  • 25 days’ holiday a year, plus 8 bank holidays

  • 2 paid volunteering days per year

  • One month paid sabbatical after 4 years

  • Employee loan

  • Free gym membership

  • Team wellness budget to be active together - set up a yoga class, a tennis lesson or go bouldering
