Your role and responsibilities
In this role we are looking for a senior candidate that will support the development of our Global Key Account program as well as managing one or several of our largest accounts. You will have the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.

This role is contributing to the global strategic key account management in Automation Machine Automation (AUMC).
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
  • Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/cybersecurity) of the relevant global customer’s business and business environment, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.
  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans for the customer.
  • Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments monitoring competitors’ activity with the account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are implemented.

Qualifications for the role

  • You have at least 10 years of experience in global account management
  • You enjoy working with strategic account management
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in global sales management.
  • You are passionate about global cooperation with teams from customer as well as internal and have a track record in stakeholder management.
  • You are at ease communicating in English, German language is a plus

The minimum compensation in Austria, in accordance with the electrical and electronics industry collective agreement, is 4 905,47 EUR monthly for a full-time position as of July 2026. But we would be pleased to speak in person about your compensation package in relation to your qualifications and experience!
