Financial Accountant

We are seeking an enthusiastic qualified Financial Accountant with a passion for their field to join our dynamic and collaborative UK finance team.

You will be responsible for a broad range of duties including month-end reporting and providing business support, whilst ensuring that the strong financial control environment is maintained.

What You'll Do:

Support the Finance Manager and Financial Controller in producing monthly Financial Statements including:

• Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments, including liaising with business stakeholders
• Review and maintenance of fixed asset registers
• Preparation of intercompany entries
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly performance reporting by providing variance analysis on your areas of responsibility
• Ensuring that the documented internal controls are followed to safeguard the continued strong internal control environment, including identifying potential efficiencies and areas of development
• Supporting the annual audit process, including working with the external auditors
• VAT return preparation
• Other duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Financial Controller including cover during periods of high-workloads and absences.

What You'll Bring:

• Team player with a positive, personable attitude, who wants to work in a growing and dynamic environment.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Experienced in month-end close to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
