🚀 We’re on a mission to make real estate transactions smarter, faster, and friction-free.

🏢 Real estate is the world’s largest asset class, yet the legal processes and tools behind it remain slow, manual, and underinvested. Lawyers must review dense documents line by line and piece together information across silos, all while clients demand faster, more transparent due diligence.

🤖 That's where we come in. Orbital Copilot is the AI assistant built exclusively for commercial real estate law. Developed with former practicing real estate lawyers, it accelerates complex due diligence by up to 70% while delivering legal-grade precision.

💰 We’ve just raised a $60m Series B to accelerate our UK/US expansion.

🤝 We're trusted by leading firms like Goodwin and BCLP to remove the busywork so legal teams can focus on what they do best: applying sharp legal judgment, delivering standout client service, and getting deals over the line faster.

💡 Working at Orbital means joining a team that's reimagining how real estate transactions get done - moving fast, working collaboratively, and giving people the ownership to make a real impact from day one.

💡 Why this role exists

As Orbital grows and enters its next phase with US expansion, the volume and complexity of our financial operations increase accordingly. Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role exists to…

  • Take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Enable a smoother, faster and consistently structured month-end process

  • Maintain reliable financial data to support strategic decision making

  • Build scalable finance processes that are accurate and audit-ready

You won’t just be “processing”, you’ll be trusted to run things end-to-end, spot issues early, and make things better over time with the support of an experienced Finance team

🛠 What you’ll be doing
Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Own the full AP process: invoice processing through to payment runs

  • Check invoices for accuracy, approval, and correct coding

  • Manage supplier records and respond confidently to supplier queries

  • Process team reimbursements

  • Improve AP workflows using tooling and automation where possible

Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Support customer invoicing and ensure accurate billing

  • Monitor incoming payments and reconcile cash receipts

  • Help manage collections and overdue invoices

  • Maintain AR ageing and flag risks early

  • Work with Sales and Customer Success on billing questions

FinOps & Scaling
  • Support month-end close with reconciliations and reporting

  • Help maintain strong financial controls and documentation

  • Support audits and ad-hoc finance projects

  • Document and improve processes as the business scales

  • Gain a deeper understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue models, and finance tooling

✅ What we’re looking for

Must-haves
  • 1–3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping

  • Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable

  • Excellent attention to detail, you care deeply about accuracy!

  • Leveraging an AI-enabled finance stack & using it forExcel or Google Sheets

  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset

  • Clear, professional communication with internal teams and suppliers

Nice-to-haves
  • Experience with tools like Xero, Ramp, or other frontierfinance systems

  • Exposure to SaaS, fintech, or tech environments

  • Foundational understanding of subscription or recurring revenue models

  • Interest in pursuing accounting qualifications

🌱 What success looks like

Within your first 6–12 months, you’ll be someone the team trusts completely. That means:

  • AP and AR run smoothly with minimal oversight

  • Month-end is faster, calmer, and more predictable

  • Supplier and customer queries rarely need escalation

  • Errors are rare, and when issues do arise, they’re flagged early

  • Processes are clearer, better documented, and less manual

  • The Finance Manager spends significantly less time on day-to-day ops

  • Learn directly from experienced finance leaders

  • Get hands-on exposure to modern SaaS finance and tooling

  • Make a visible impact at a critical growth stage
