The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Manager with cash pooling, reconciliations, compliance, and various financial reporting tasks, while contributing to process improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our fast-growing Ennismore London homebase team. You will support our Finance Manager and Accounts Receivable team, working on Ennismore Lifestyle Group Limited and its subsidiaries.
Job DescriptionWhat you’ll do…
Cash Pooling & Treasury
- Oversee and reconcile daily cash pooling transactions across group entities.
Reporting, Reconciliations & Controls
- Post regular and ad-hoc month end journals, including accruals, amortisation and other reallocations.
- Perform monthly cross-charge billing, including distribution of invoices and supporting documentation, and promptly handle related incoming queries and requests.
- Perform and review weekly bank reconciliations and key balance sheet account reconciliations. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues where necessary.
- Maintain compliance with internal financial controls, group accounting policies, and relevant regulatory standards (e.g. IFRS and FRS 102).
- Raise Purchase Orders, review and approve AP invoices and payment runs according to delegation of authority allocations.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly statistical reports for compliance purposes.
- Assist auditors and management with documentation and analysis.
Business Support
- Support system improvements and automation of reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for…
- Part qualified with AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or equivalent) or intention to start one of these qualifications
- Experience working with high growth businesses ideal but not essential
- Having worked in the Hotels and Restaurant industry previously is a bonus
- Experience preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Experience with Sun Systems 6.4 and OneStream is a bonus but not a must have
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Someone who can hit the ground running, with the ability to work independently to achieve our goals
- Ability to multitask and jump in and help where needed
