The role:
In this role, you will visit unstaffed wholesale locations, driving both sell-in and sell-out by fostering strong relationships with our trade partners. You will collaborate closely with the Beauty Floor Manager, Beauty Floor Staff, and the Store General Manager, delivering brand and product training, promoting commercial best practices, and maintaining communication with the National Account Management Team.
While this role is posted with a location it is a remote based role and can be based in well connected locations across the South of England.
What you will do:
- Visit Trade Partner stores to deliver training on brand knowledge, visual merchandising, and product details to Beauty Advisers, Floor Managers, and relevant staff, creating excitement and advocacy for the brand within the host store.
- Review and coach the in-store visual merchandising (VM) standards, ensuring adherence to VM principles and planograms. Focus on key areas such as correct range, Icons, availability (including testers and consumables), and sound commercial practices.
- Identify and negotiate for increased space, double-site displays, window presence, and optimal placement of MB products, particularly during peak gifting periods like Christmas, Mother’s Day, Sales, and NPD launches.
- After each visit, provide written reports to your NAM, including supporting photos, assessing VM standards, product availability, team engagement, staff knowledge, and commercial basics. Include recommendations for follow-up actions and plans for your next visit.
- Influence stock levels with Trade Partners to ensure:
- No excess stock that affects Open To Buy (OTB)
- Sufficient base stock, particularly for Icons
- Discontinued lines are phased out in a timely manner
- Communicate and train Trade Partners on the Campaign Calendar and NPD launches, ensuring timely ordering of NPD, POS materials, samples, and testers to support a well-organized launch, ideally with window displays and dual siting.
- Collaborate with retail partners to review stock holdings and align on minimum stock cover requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with NAMs, VM, Marketing, and Customer Experience (CX) teams to stay informed on developments, while providing feedback on observations, risks, and opportunities from store visits.
- You will spend 4 out of 5 days visiting Trade Partner stores, with the remaining day working from home or the office.
- Coordinate your schedule with your line manager, ensuring regular face-to-face catch-ups with key stakeholders, including NAMs, VM, CX, Marketing, and Merchandising teams.
- Occasional visits to the Factory to meet with Customer Logistics may also be required.
What you will need:
- A degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Store Management or National Account Management roles.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
- A valid and clean driving license.
