The Role

We are now looking to add an Enterprise Account Executive (AE) to help build and grow strategic partnerships with other payment companies with our GoCardless Embed product. As an AE, you will be responsible for finding and closing new business deals across the UK&I & Europe through your own efforts, supported by our marketing, partnerships, and Sales Development teams.

You will engage with economic buyers within your key accounts to identify and secure a role for GoCardless as a payment provider. You will work with the Embed team to develop and execute against a business development plan to engage prospective partners. You will be leading on all aspects of the process, including outreach, commercial negotiation and solution design (where you will work with and be supported by our Solution Engineering and Product teams).

  • Developing and executing an acquisition strategy - identifying new global/multi-regional prospects that will help us meet our revenue goals and support GoCardless’ penetration of target markets and verticals

  • Articulating product benefits and how they will help Payment Providers / Payment Provider Merchants meet key business goals

  • Selling the value of our global payments platform and then developing opportunities through negotiation to contract closure


What Excites Us

  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in a B2B SaaS environment and a track record of achieving and exceeding quota

  • Previous sales experience in the Payments industry or in fields focused on Open Banking is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience within some of our core verticals in Financial Services, Utilities, Telco and Insurance is a plus.

  • You have strong relationship management and communication skills. You love engaging with customers and can articulate yourself clearly

  • Experience selling to CxO (CFO/CPO ideally) and other senior stakeholders

  • You have a growth mindset. This includes willingness to roll up your sleeves and stretch beyond the “on paper” remit but also being willing to pivot and change to achieve the teams goals

  • You are commercially minded with strong quantitative and analytical skills. You relish helping drive revenue and identifying growth opportunities within your prospect base

  • You are comfortable learning a technical product. Whilst you won’t need to code, we will expect you to enjoy working with product teams internally and externally

  • You have strong relationship management and communication skills. You love engaging with customers and can articulate yourself clearly
