This role is integral to driving Sustainalytics' growth strategy, strengthening our leadership position and establishing client-centric marketing programs to address complex client and market needs. This role will lead the crafting of compelling value propositions, development of go-to-market strategies, including launching new products and supporting existing products, and fuel campaigns that drive measurable business growth. You will lead a team of experienced product marketers and partner cross-functionally with our Product Management, Research & Methodology, Technology, Sales and Customer Success teams. You will also collaborate across Morningstar's fellow business unit and corporate teams including Brand, Communications, Product Marketing, Digital/Demand Gen Marketing, Design, Content and Events. Successful candidates will thrive on building cross-functional relationships and interlocks. This role reports to the Head of Marketing, Indexes and Sustainalytics and is based in London. The position offers an excellent opportunity to make a real business impact for Sustainalytics.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic input that reinforces Sustainalytics' leadership position in Sustainable Finance solutions, including multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns, competitive product marketing strategy and comprehensive sales enablement systems that guide effective client conversations and drive pipeline.
- Monitor and maintain awareness of global trends and the changing Sustainable Finance policy and regulatory landscape and adapt programs accordingly.
- Partner with Product, Research and Methodology, Sales and Client Success to develop a holistic perspective across our solution set with a view to drive market segmentation and analysis, understand target segments and needs, define ideal customer profiles and personas, identify emerging market segments, prepare market and solution forecasts.
- Ensure marketing strategy and programs are consistent and integrated with global priorities and growth objectives.
- Track metrics for the business that offer insights to guide strategies for brand positioning, client retention and development, pricing, product innovation, industry partnerships, and methods for attracting new business.
Qualifications
- 12-15 years professional experience directing complex go-to-market programs (preferably B2B) with demonstrable knowledge and experience working in financial services, and specifically, Sustainable Finance.
- Management strengths as a transformative leader, motivator and change agent.
- Experienced in working for large global companies within a matrix structure.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of an organization, including executive stakeholders.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment with high degree of autonomy.
- A high energy individual with a positive, pragmatic / can-do attitude and passion for sustainability.
- Strong writing, editing, and communications skills.
