- Drives, runs, and implements the finance strategy as part of the CIO leadership to achieve divisional and group strategic objectives.
- Drives and owns all aspects of cost performance including Capital Expenditure, OpEx, Headcount, third party costs and other critical metrics.
- Builds positive relationships with divisional Financial Control to ensure accuracy of financials.
- Works with Group Financial Control, HR, Risk, IR, Ops and Engineering to ensure alignment of support and governance framework.
- Acts as the first point of contact for the CIOs teams and connect into other Finance teams as needed.
- Uses underlying trends, critical metrics, future business plans and external market factors to assist with the composition of short-term forecasts, budgets, and strategic business plans.
- Challenges and makes recommendations with respect to performance against budget, prior periods, budget setting and financial viability of new divisional initiatives.
- Leads finance support of major divisional projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide insight and analysis on cost performance, providing robust challenge and proactively identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency across the division, on a direct and fully allocated basis.
- Act as the lead for profitability and Total Cost Of Ownership (TCO) analysis, coordinating across the divisions, working with specific internal partners as required.
- Lead monthly performance updates, analysis of key value drivers, key risks/issues/opportunities, and enable effective decision-making.
- Work with leaders across the wider finance team to optimise data reporting, data analysis, data visualisation, and performance insights, and drive adoption of best practice approaches across Finance.
- Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification
- Extensive Finance Business Partnering experience – ideally partnering in a Tech/Engineering-led environment
- Self-starter with a history of providing strategic thought leadership, partnering, and influencing senior stakeholders
- Continuous improvement approach, with a passion for optimising processes and insight. Strengths in Python, Co-pilot, Power BI and Excel. Loves to ‘get stuck in’.
- Significant work experience in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organisation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build broad networks.
- Able to influence others and deliver outcomes and change through other people.
