Job Description:

Communications & Marketing Manager

UPS Capital Europe, London Office


UPS Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, is expanding in Europe.  UPS Capital provides risk mitigation and financial solutions for business of all size and industries along global supply chains. In support of UPS Capital’s accelerated Digital Transformation, it is essential to acquire additional talent to support the expansion and growth. The Communication & Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing marketing and communications delivery across all areas of UPS Capital in Europe.

Within the function you will:

  • Drive profitable growth of UPS Capital (UPSC) products through tactical marketing programs and initiatives.

  • Supports execution of communications strategy according to project plan, such as supporting audience segmentation efforts, determining ideal communications channels, etc.

  • Coordinates deliverables distribution with the required networks to ensure messages are delivered to the audiences.

  • Create external and internal communication activities including sales collaterals, social media communication, customer facing tools and newsletters.

  • Create promotional content for new and existing products, including supporting external and internal communications.

  • Coordinates and writes content for multiple channels including web, social media, press releases, email automation, internal communications, and advertising platforms.

  • Plan, manage and execute key marketing and industry events that promote the UPS Capital brand.

  • Work closely with other UPS business units to identify initiatives and areas of possible collaboration.

  • Assists with internal project team communications (e.g., email memos, on-site meeting coordination, etc.)

  • Identifies program milestones, dependencies, and challenges to proactively address potential issues; identifies key insights for optimization of program performance.

Required Skills and Education:

  • University/master’s degree in business, Economics or Marketing related field.

  • Effectively writes content using prescribed methods, tone, and messaging for channels.

  • Maintains flexibility and positive work attitude in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Develops project management plans and leverages workflow tools to manage the completion of deliverables related to a campaign or project.

  • Adapts media channel and communication style to various situations or groups; recommends adjustments to communication strategies.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, communication, problem solving and time management skills.

  • Exhibits experience and knowledge of how to use marketing technology such as marketing automation, web analytics, social media, and data management platforms.

  • Uses sound numerical and analytical capabilities; the successful candidate has a proven track record of developing logical conclusions and recommendations based on quantitative/statistical analysis.

  • Demonstrated self-starter with project management skills.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.

  • Fluency in English (both written and oral) is a must, German, French or Italian an asset.

  • Very good computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint). SQL, Tableau, Access knowledge an asset.
