Job Description:

Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role within the commercial team for our HS2 Track contract.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and management skills, supported by a proven track record in delivering major infrastructure projects.

Location: Euston, London 

Responsibilities:

  • Administering NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract
  • Managing major work packages with values in excess of £100m
  • Supporting the Commercial Lead, providing clear commercial guidance to the wider project team
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust commercial, accounting, and management processes
  • Administering risk and opportunity management, ensuring commercial entitlement is fully protected and maximised
  • Supporting contract reviews and the delivery of accurate monthly commercial and financial reporting
  • Leading and participating in commercial discussions and negotiations with project and commercial stakeholders
  • Governing, monitoring, and evidencing KPI performance
  • Preparing monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budgets, ensuring strong cost control and accuracy
  • Identifying and providing timely, high‑quality information to support the change control process
  • Supporting procurement activities, including tender processes and the preparation of subcontract documentation
  • Managing subcontractors from order placement through to final account
  • Maintaining detailed registers for variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims
