As our CASS Operations Specialist, you'll be instrumental in enabling IG's ambitious product roadmap – ensuring we can deliver product innovation whilst maintaining robust regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with operations, risk, compliance, product teams, and senior leadership to embed CASS excellence across the business.
Your role in the Team
Based within Group Finance, you'll serve as the go-to expert on CASS matters, working closely with the leadership team to strengthen how we protect client assets. Day to day, you'll build and maintain first-line controls, shape compliant processes, and ensure our operations can scale without compromising on client protection standards. You'll collaborate across finance operations, risk, compliance, and product teams in multiple jurisdictions, driving consistency and best practice in everything we do. While CASS will be at the heart of your remit, you'll also gain broader exposure to international client money regulations across our global footprint.
What you’ll do
Lead the implementation of the CASS framework
Support the design and implementation of controls and procedures
Provide oversight of daily internal and external UK client money and asset reconciliations
Ensure CASS breaches are appropriately recorded, reported, and escalated
Oversee the preparation of the CMAR by Finance Operations
Support the CASS Operational Oversight Manager in administering the Group Client Money and Asset Committee
Prepare CASS management information for reporting at Board and Committee meetings
Work with operations teams to identify, root cause, and promptly resolve all breaks
Support initial and ongoing due diligence on banking and custodial partners
Act as primary point of contact for external auditors, leading the CASS audit and driving remediation of findings
Work with compliance to deliver CASS training and build CASS capability and expertise across finance and operations teams
Provide input into the design of new products to ensure CASS compliance

What you’ll need
Deep technical knowledge of CASS 6 and CASS 7
Experience supporting product diversification and innovation in regulated environments
An interest in emerging regulatory frameworks for digital assets, developments in client money and asset protection and international client money regulations
Experience working in a multi-jurisdictional environment
Excellent analytical skills with sharp attention to detail and ability to spot trends and drive improvements
Strong communication skills – comfortable presenting complex CASS matters and building relationships across functions and divisions
Pragmatic, hands-on approach – willing to get stuck in and improve processes
