About Abound

We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation.

And we've shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market-leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch.

Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top-tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs (Sifted, CNBC). Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.

About the role

You will join one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs and play a key role in scaling our funding platform.

As Capital Markets Manager / Analyst, you'll work directly with the Director of Capital on Abound's funding and financing strategy. From managing billion pounds’ existing debt funding facilities to executing new deals, you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of debt capital markets activity that enables the business to continue its rapid growth.

This is a highly execution-focused role. You'll support private warehouse facilities, private and public securitisation transactions, working alongside leading investment banks, institutional investors, rating agencies, lawyers and other external partners. No two transactions are the same, and you'll gain exposure to every stage of the process, from structuring and analysis through execution and ongoing investor management.

Capital markets transactions are demanding, deadlines are real, and the pace is fast. We're looking for someone who thrives in that environment, enjoys solving complex problems, has great attention to details and wants to accelerate their learning by taking on meaningful responsibility from day one. This isn't a role for someone looking for a steady 9-to-5.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the execution of Abound's debt funding and financing activities, including warehouse facilities, private securitisations, forward flow transactions and public securitisations.

  • Work alongside the Director of Capital on live transactions, coordinating with banks, investors, rating agencies, lawyers, auditors and other transaction counterparties

  • Build and maintain financial models, transaction analyses and investor materials to support financing activities

  • Monitor the performance of existing funding facilities, ensuring reporting obligations and operational requirements are met

  • Prepare presentations and materials for existing and prospective funding partners and investors

  • Help identify new funding opportunities and support the development of Abound's long-term capital markets strategy

  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Credit, Treasury, Legal, Product and Operations to ensure successful transaction execution

  • Continuously improve internal processes and help build the infrastructure needed to support a rapidly growing funding platform

Who you are

  • 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, structured finance, capital markets, consulting, corporate finance or another analytical, high-performance environment

  • Experience in structured finance, securitisation or asset-backed financing would be a strong advantage, but is not essential

  • Highly motivated and intellectually curious, you enjoy working hard, learning quickly and taking on responsibility

  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • An excellent communicator who can build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners

  • Self-directed, you don't wait to be managed, you take ownership and make things happen

  • Excited by the opportunity to help build one of the UK's leading fintech funding platforms from the inside

What we offer

  • Everyone owns a piece of the company: equity

  • Hybrid with at least 3 days a week in the office

  • 25 days' holiday a year, plus 8 bank holidays

  • 2 paid volunteering days per year

  • One month paid sabbatical after 4 years

  • Employee loan

  • Free gym membership
