Role Summary

Supporting the Solutions COO team to manage the solutions business, you will play a key role in building the operational infrastructure to support the rapid growth of this business, as well as helping to define and deliver the strategy for the Solutions business.

As a liaison between the Solutions Business and Control and Support functions of the wider group, you will be a key contact and the go to person for both divisions. Working alongside COO and Sales/Trading functions in delivering projects related to the initial creation, processing, and automation of the solutions product offering, enabling the business to keep growing sustainably and integrating expansion opportunities when they arise.

As a central player in the business, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Deliver new sales initiatives, including launching new products or business lines
  • Manage daily ad-hoc requests from Sales, contributing to both day-to-day operations and broader process improvements
  • Support and drive change for the Marex Solutions Sales team by evaluating current processes and identifying opportunities for automation and technological advancements
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Support, and Control stakeholders to implement business initiatives within a controlled and sustainable framework.
  • A good understanding of structured products or exotic OTC derivatives (primarily commodities based) will be required, with experience in optimizing and driving automation.

Responsibilities

As a VP you will:

  • Support the delivery of Sales projects critical to the Solutions business by: o Establishing project plans, defining scope, and ensuring successful execution from start to finish. o Effectively communicating with key stakeholders.
  • Improve Management Information (MI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively help guide business decisions.
  • Ensure operational processes related to Sales are effective and efficient, identifying improvements in onboarding, credit, change management, and governance.
  • Work closely with support teams and the business to complete projects on time, providing clear updates on progress.
  • Provide functional support across areas including but not limited to: Finance, Regulatory Capital, Tax, Counterparty Risk, Onboarding, and Financial Crime.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, Legal, and Compliance to support regulatory Sales initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure that all Sales activities comply with local and general regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Sales Conflict Management and training to ensure compliance.
  • Manage Sales Operational Risk Management and Risk Acceptances.
  • Provide Sales MI for technical analysis to enhance business performance.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication with management and relevant teams.

Skills and Experience

  • 8-12 years'* prior experience in a Business Management/Front Office Sales or Relationship Management position within financial services is preferred although experience gained in a middle office operational function will also be considered
  • An understanding of the lifecycle of either structured notes or FX OTC derivative products will be key to success in this position
    • Significant problem solving and organisational skills
    • A commercial approach to working with senior internal stakeholders, clients and third parties
    • Very Strong Excel, MS Office skills – keen interest in using AI tools to enhance business builds
    • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy environment.
