Qargo is a cloud-based (SaaS) Transport Management Platform. We are a scale-up based in London and Ghent (Belgium), rapidly expanding across Europe. The platform is an ‘all-in-one system’, handling everything from initial order entry to final invoicing. It optimises planning and has a built-in AI feature that automates lengthy manual tasks. Qargo is designed to help modern logistics operations run more efficiently, while increasing profitability and sustainability.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in the UK. If you’re looking to work in an international company in a role that offers autonomy, ownership and impact, this is the role for you!

💼 About the Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in accelerating Qargo’s growth in the UK. You will take full ownership of the sales cycle, drive new business opportunities, and build strong, lasting relationships with key industry players.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
  • Take full control of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.

  • Hunt for leads via calls, emails, networking, and fairs to fuel growth.

  • Build a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and the competitive landscape.

  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with industry players to expand Qargo’s footprint and drive cross-sales.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across teams and geographies to ensure alignment.

  • Contribute creative ideas to break targets, elevate our brand, and speed up deal cycles.

  • Leverage tools such as HubSpot and Gong to work smarter and stay ahead.

Requirements
  • Proven track record in sales, with a strong hunter mentality.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, sales-driven energy, and a go-getter attitude.

  • Winning-as-a-team mentality, you thrive on collaboration as much as on closing deals.

  • Experience with SaaS or technology sales is a strong plus.

  • International outlook and willingness to travel.

  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car (required for client visits).
