Taco Bell was born and raised in California and has been around since 1962. We went from selling everyone’s favourite Crunchy Tacos on the West Coast to a global brand with 8,200+ restaurants, 350 franchise organizations, that serve 42+ million fans each week around the globe. That’s right… Taco Bell has 8,200+ restaurants in over 32 countries around the world, with offices in the U.S., Canada, UK, India, Australia, and Singapore. And we don’t plan to stop there.

We’re not only the largest Mexican-inspired quick service brand (QSR) in the world, we’re also part of the biggest restaurant group in the world: Yum! Brands.

Much of our fan love and authentic connection with our communities are rooted in being rebels with a cause. From ensuring we use high quality, sustainable ingredients to elevating restaurant technology in ways that hasn’t been done before…we will continue to be inclusive, bold, challenge the status quo and push industry boundaries.

We’re a company that celebrates and advocates for different, has bold self-expression, strives for a better future, and brings the fun while we’re at it. We fuel our culture with real people who bring unique experiences. We inspire and enable our teams and the world to Live Más.

And all of that comes with fun, year-round events like holiday and cultural festivities, development opportunities you can take advantage of from anywhere you are, and random recharge days – just to name a few. We truly believe that where you work matters and taking care of our employees matters as much to us as taking care of our fans.

Responsibilities

About the Job:

At Taco Bell, we aren’t just looking for candidates. We are looking for a marketing rock star, who has a unique combination of strong creative thinking and a commercial mindset, with a restless drive to grow brand awareness. We want someone who not only LOVES tacos but has a real passion for marketing and delivering winning results. We are seeking the right person, a broad leader with a growth mindset to pave the future for Taco Bell.

You will report directly to our UK Head of Marketing who will be there to champion and coach you to success. At Taco Bell we are a tight band of cultural rebels here to make an impact, we operate a fairly flat structure, and you will have visibility and access to everyone from our General Manager all the way through to our global Taco Bell International Leaders who will be on hand to support and champion your work and career growth. We also need people who are comfortable working in a more entrepreneurial “start-up” environment. This will require you to think strategically and commercially at times but also be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the execution phase for key projects.

Glen Bell was a trail-blazing entrepreneur who saw things differently when he started Taco Bell, and we apply the same mindset today. Through listening, learning, focusing on the right things and rapid prototyping, you will lead the team to get to market quickly with new ideas. You will validate and evolve programs, scaling what works across the system. Thinking like a start-up with the leadership of a winning brand is an extremely powerful advantage, and you will be part of a lean, innovative group that is shaking up the industry.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Be the strategic and commercial business owner to deliver a marketing strategy that super-charges our retail footfall to our restaurants and re-enforces consumer perception:

    • You will lead key national campaigns from defining phase to execution to create big ideas that will scale the fame of the brand over time.

    • You will have the opportunity to work on below and above-the-line campaigns, managing creative agency partners and influencing stakeholders. From TV to POS, we’re looking for someone who wants accountability and can manage the full marketing mix.

  • Lead a cross functional squad across commercial finance, restaurant operations and food innovation to deliver the brand strategy.

  • Build strong relationships with Franchise partners to implement the brand strategy.

  • Identify the opportunities to grow revenue by driving relevance and distinctiveness to increase the awareness of the brand through a pipeline of core activations, limited time offers and value plays.

  • Leverage learnings and best practices from Taco Bell Global markets on key marketing initiatives

  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure integration across all marketing online programs.

Qualifications

Is this you?

  • At least 5 years of professional non-internship marketing experience.

  • You’ll have worked your way up the marketing ladder working in a QSR, retail, FMCG or food related industry, working on big brand building and commercial performance marketing initiatives and you will now ideally be looking to take that next step.

  • Strong, relationship-focused leader with proven track record of inspiring and influencing cross-functional partners, internal and external stakeholders to deliver results and foster collaboration and alignment.

  • Experience developing marketing strategies, building and executing marketing calendars across multiple and individual markets. Experience launching new products a plus.

  • Experience effectively managing all aspects of creative process: brief writing, overseeing production and post-production (television and photoshoots), managing creative agencies, and responsibility for timeline and budgets.

  • Data driven.

  • Big picture thinker with ability to turn strategy into action.

  • Flexible and eager to drive change.

  • Collaborative. A team player who is accountable and flexible

  • Thrives in fast-paced environment.

  • Experience managing brands or projects, creating marketing/agency briefs, and developing sell-in decks.

  • Consulting or strategy experience building business cases and creating proposals to take our franchisee partners with you on the journey.

  • Restaurant or retail experience with an understanding of operational complexity

  • Reputation for building strong partnerships across cross-functional and outside teams, and having solid negotiation skills.

Work-Hard, Play-Hard:

  • Hybrid work schedule

  • Company and performance-related bonus

  • Generous pension with up to 11% company contribution

  • Private healthcare with the option to increase to include family cover

  • Annual holiday allowance starts at 25 days with the option to buy or sell up to 5 extra days per year.  After 5 years’ service, annual holiday allowance increases to 30 days

  • Competitive parental leave and flexible return to work options

  • Wellbeing Reimbursement - A fund to claim back costs throughout the year that support your well-being such as vitamins subscriptions, language lessons, gym membership

  • Flexible and Voluntary benefits including Dental Insurance, Health Screening and Gym Discounts

At Taco Bell, we Live Más and invite you to do the same. Take a seat at our table. Bring your voice. Bring you, just as you are, a Cultural Rebel. We want you to be your best self!

Taco Bell is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is committed to equity, inclusion, and belonging for all dimensions of diversity.  We do not discriminate based on race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other protected characteristic.
