Brand Lead PAIN | Voltaren - DACH BU (m/f/x)

Are you energized by a marketing role that allows you to shape marketing strategies and accelerate growth of Voltaren, the biggest OTC Brand in Germany?  If so, this Brand Lead role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.

As a Brand Lead Pain (Voltaren) you will be responsible to drive category performance, setting strategies and execution to answer consumers, customers and expert needs. This role is based in Germany, Munich and reports directly into the DACH BU OTC Category Director.
 

This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career, which includes:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the overall strategic direction of the Pain category, focusing on portfolio strategy, growth, and market share expansion across sub-categories.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Provide marketing leadership, working closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Digital Commerce, Finance) and global/regional category teams.
  • Data-driven Brand Leadership: Enhance brand performance by utilizing consumer insights, data, and digital tools to deliver superior brand outcomes.
  • Team & Innovation Development: Lead a dynamic marketing team and collaborate with local and global innovation teams to build a strong innovation pipeline and drive future growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Growth & Strategy Implementation: Drive consumption and consumer penetration by working with cross-functional teams to execute both mid-term and in-year strategies.
  • Innovation & Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the innovation team to enhance the innovation agenda and build a strong product pipeline.
  • A&P Investment Management: Oversee in-year Advertising & Promotion (A&P) investments to ensure effective budget allocation.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Implement robust, data-driven decision-making processes to create engaging communication and explore new growth opportunities.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead and develop a team of Junior and Brand Managers, contributing to the company’s business cycle and strategic planning.

Qualifications and skills

  • Extensive Marketing/Commercial Experience: Multiple years of experience in marketing or commercial roles with a proven track record of success.
  • Results-driven & Action-oriented: Strong focus on achieving results, combined with boldness and curiosity to take impactful actions based on consumer, customer, and expert insights.
  • Broad Business Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of business processes, including media, channels, innovation, and financials.
  • Strategic Thinker: Well-developed strategic thinking grounded in deep knowledge of consumer behavior, customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Leadership & Team Collaboration: Ability to lead, inspire, and manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in both English and German.
