Group Details

Tradeweb is looking for a Buy-side Sales Executive to join the Germanic Sales Team. This role will be based in Amsterdam, London or Frankfurt. This role is focused on accelerating revenue growth across Germany, Austria & Eastern Europe. The successful candidate will acquire new buy-side clients, expand existing relationships and increase product penetration across Rates, Credit, ETFs and derivatives. It requires disciplined pipeline management, persistent deal progression and the ability to convert opportunities into tangible revenue outcomes. Frequent travel is essential to ensure strong client coverage and visible regional presence.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible style suited to building relationships with a range of clients and the tenacity to pursue opportunities and close deals.  Ideally, you will have gained a solid understanding of Fixed Income products and OTC Derivatives, and have some insight into how products are traded electronically in the Dealer to Client environment.

Beyond experience, this role requires energy, ambition and an entrepreneurial mindset. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes ownership, thrives in long sales cycles and demonstrates resilience in pursuing opportunities. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the role partners closely with Client Services and Product teams to deliver seamless onboarding, high service standards and sustained franchise growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive regional revenue growth across Germany and Austria by acquiring new buy-side clients and expanding existing relationships across asset managers and banks. Increase active client count and deepen product penetration across Rates, Credit, ETFs and derivatives through structured territory planning and disciplined account execution.
  • Own and develop senior client relationships across trading desks, portfolio managers and operations teams, positioning yourself as the trusted partner for electronic trading solutions and market structure expertise within the Germanic franchise.
  • Maintain strong in-market presence through frequent travel to Germany and Austria, ensuring consistent face-to-face coverage, proactive opportunity development and visible commitment to the region.
  • Build, manage and convert a robust sales pipeline, demonstrating persistence, follow-through and commercial intensity in progressing opportunities from initial engagement through to deal closure.
  • Deliver high-impact client engagement, including platform demonstrations, workflow discussions and strategic presentations, while identifying cross-sell opportunities and educating clients on evolving electronic trading capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maximise execution quality, partnering closely with Client Services and Product teams to ensure seamless onboarding, high service standards and alignment with broader market developments and competitive dynamics.

Qualifications

Required

  • Native or business-fluent German
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income instruments (government bonds, credit, swaps, ETFs)
  • Existing relationships with German and Austrian asset managers and/or banks
  • Experience building and executing a sales pipeline
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Germany and Austria

Highly Desirable

  • First-hand experience with electronic trading platforms or e-commerce in a dealer-to-client environment
  • Understanding of client workflows, clearing and settlement processes
