Role Summary
As an Audience Intelligence Executive within WPP 650's specialist research & insight unit, The Citizens Consultancy, you will be a vital support for the team, assisting in leveraging data sets, digital signals, social commentary and qualitative research outputs to explore, understand, and surface citizens' voices, sentiment, and experiences. You will contribute to elevating audience understanding working on a variety of research projects utilising a vast array of tools and methodologies available within a large media agency. It is a unique opportunity for someone in their early career who wants experience within a fast paced research team .
Key Responsibilities in this role:
- Data and Insight Support: Assist in surfacing understanding and insights from a range of data sources, such as survey data, search and social data. Utilise dashboards to keep abreast of trends and content insights, contributing to a continuous flow of audience trends and understanding.
- Project Delivery: Assist in the design and delivery of research projects and requests using a variety of techniques. Support the team's capability in both digital research and analytics and qualitative research. Prepare materials and contribute to client and agency meetings, championing insights
- Innovation: Support the integration of AI and machine learning into workflows, data processes and trend detection. Proactively learn new analytic techniques, data sources and tools. Assist in integrating a variety of data outputs together to generate strong narratives.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Serve as a day-to-day contact for insight support. Assist the team in cultivating robust relationships across WPP 650 and wider stakeholders across WPP. Learn to manage key partnerships with key data providers and support in evaluating new suppliers.
Project management: Maintain shared project management tools to track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables. Help keep templates and documents up to date so that everyone is working consistently.
Skills and Experience
- Research and analytic skills: Experience, with a foundational understanding of research methods and some products and tools. Proven ability in mining of data for audience insights and trends. Knowledge of qualitative research approaches and moderation.
- Audience Curiosity: An understanding of UK consumer trends and how they impact different audiences and an understanding of what this means for brands and organisations.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to process, organise and analyse quantitative data. Comfortable with numbers and data.
- Effective Communication: Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Ability to assist in writing questionnaires, discussion guides, AI Prompts, and presenting information to various levels of seniority.
- Relationship Building & Collaboration: Pro active with a can do attitude. Strong ability to collaborate with a range of people and a strong team player. Eagerness to build strong client and partner relationships.
- Project Management: Highly organised with a good understanding of how project management applies to research projects. Ability to manage several tasks, prioritise and meet deliverables.
Preferred (not essential): Familiarity with the media industry, research tools & sources such as TGI, YouGov Profiles, IPA Touchpoints, Google Ads, Meta Business manager, Social listening tools, moderation of focus groups
