Location/Travel/Schedule:
- The position can be based out of Sterling Heights, MI or York, PA
- This will be an Onsite Hybrid role where you can work from home 2 days each week and go onsite 3 days each week
- This position will require up to 25% travel
- This role has a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off
- Provide leadership and programmatic management oversight of project teams assuring projects meet financial, schedule, scope, and technical objectives, and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for completion of project deliverables meeting customer requirements and their on-time delivery.
- Manage and control Work Directive scope
- Coordination with production, fielding, and sustainment teams to transition designs from engineering data to fielded hardware
- Lead with a customer focus, building and maintaining relationships to support the delivery of customer requirements
- Communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives
- Responsible for all aspects of Earned Value Management for each Work Directive, to include estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes
- Manage program scope and cost estimating, including
- Lead the master planning process and provide leadership and support to schedulers.
- Manage the crossfunctional team, to include Contracts, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase the value of assigned project(s)
- Lead the development of capture plans and preparation of proposals in response to various customer requests. The proposals include the cost estimate and project schedule
- Identify ways to use STS work directives to modernize the AMPV
- Attract, motivate, and lead teams, from multiple sites and/or cultures, including industry partners and suppliers
- Lead and inspire diverse teams in a high tempo environment
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Program/Project Management applying knowledge of PM methodologies, toolsets, and processes
- Experience in Cross-functional Leadership to achieve program objectives using a team-based approach that demonstrates the value of each team member
- Experience with Program Risk and Opportunity (R&O) management activities to include scope management, program/project plans, identification of risks, development of risk mitigation plans, and allocation of available resources
- Expertise in all facets of Earned Value management
- Ability to effectively manage program complexities and structuring activities in times of ambiguity
- Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly effective critical thinking skills
- Customer focus and with good relationship building skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Graduate Degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
- Experience in Defense (DoD)/Government Contracting
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense Engineering
- Experience in Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
- Fluency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint software programs
