Job Description:

At Remitly, we believe everyone deserves the freedom to access, move, and manage their money wherever life takes them. Since 2011, we’ve tirelessly delivered on our promise to customers sending money globally, providing secure, simple, and reliable ways to manage their money, ensuring true peace of mind. Whether it’s supporting loved ones back home, growing a business across continents, or pursuing new opportunities abroad, we’re not just here to move money— we’re here to move our global customers forward.
We’re looking for builders, reimaginers, and global thinkers who want to work at the intersection of technology, trust, and transformation. If that’s you and you’re ready to do the most meaningful work of your career—we invite you to join over 2,800 passionate Remitlians worldwide who are united by our vision to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

About the Role

Remitly’s Ambassador Programme is one of the most exciting growth initiatives underway in our global business. As the breadth of execution ramps up, spanning platform procurement, cross-functional integration, and parallel testing across global markets, we need dedicated regional leads to drive the programme's growth within local and nuanced markets, without diluting programme quality.

Purpose

Own the growth, health, and commercial performance of the ambassador community across Europe. You are the operational owner of the ambassador programme in-market — responsible for recruiting and retaining a high-quality ambassador base, driving new customer acquisition through them, and ensuring those customers convert into active, long-term Remitly senders.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard & train ambassadors

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new brand ambassadors, ensuring they understand brand messaging, product knowledge, and communication guidelines.

Manage & grow the community

  • Manage ongoing relationships with ambassadors; support them with training, tools, and local market knowledge to optimize performance and drive high-quality NCAs.

  • Keep ambassadors active and motivated through relationship-building, retention content, and removing operational blockers.  This is a hands-on role, that will require ongoing attendance at community events, ambassador meet-ups, and activations to build relationships in person and provide on-the-ground support if and when needed."

Launch, recruit & expand the programme

  • Identify new ways of growing ambassador networks; develop and execute expansion strategy with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Recruit ambassadors directly, while also partnering with marketing on recruitment strategies to drive candidates to the platform to onboard and join the programme.

  • Launch the programme in new markets, taking a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach where needed.

  • Manage in-country logistics (swag fulfilment, event support, local vendor relationships).

Voice of the region

  • Act as the local voice of the programme, providing feedback to improve strategy and execution.

  • Partner closely with the global programme leads to report and tell the overall story on programme performance

Partner across the business

  • Partner with Legal/Compliance on contracts and payment requirements as the programme scales into new markets.

  • Align with in-market Business/Country Managers so the programme supports local growth priorities and stays within budget/CAC guardrails.

  • Coordinate with the regional Marketing team (brand, performance, community, agencies) to plug the ambassador programme into the broader local marketing plan.

  • Partner with the global Programme Manager to adapt the global playbook to local needs, and flag market-specific risks or opportunities back into the global strategy.

Success Metrics

  • Number of onboarded ambassadors

  • Ambassador active rate

  • NCAs generated

  • Customer active rate

  • Successful launches in new markets

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience running community, affiliate, referral, or field marketing programmes with performance/commission-based objectives.

  • Proven experience building and scaling new programmes from the ground up — comfortable operating with ambiguity and a limited playbook, since this is a net-new capability for the business rather than an established channel.

  • Strong problem-solving skills — important for navigating the operational challenges that come with scaling an ambassador programme.

  • Analytical fluency — comfortable owning NCA, active rate, and CAC metrics and explaining performance drivers.
