More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

We’ve built a global platform that moves money across borders instantly, transparently, and at the lowest possible cost. As we continue to scale our operations and expand our capabilities in the UK, the size and complexity of our balance sheet, safeguarding structures, and liquid asset pools are growing.

We are looking for a Treasury Manager – ALM to join our Group Treasury team. In this role, you will take ownership of liquidity management, balance sheet risk oversight, and compliance for our core UK asset portfolios and liquid buffers. Operating with a high degree of autonomy as a key ALM partner, you will drive first-line risk oversight while seamlessly leveraging the robust infrastructure and shared resources of our wider global Treasury function.

Your mission is to ensure our UK portfolios maintain institutional-grade financial resilience. Working alongside our Treasury leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day risk management of our high-quality liquid asset buffers, monitoring structural balance sheet exposures (IR, FX, and Credit), and ensuring our funding and liquidity strategies are fully aligned with evolving UK industry and regulatory expectations.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Portfolio & Compliance Monitoring: Oversee the compliance, monitoring, and risk management of the UK liquid asset buffers, ensuring strict adherence to internal liquidity policies and safeguarding risk frameworks.
  • Evolution to Strategy: While the initial focus is on robust risk oversight and monitoring, you will actively collaborate on and evolve the long-term investment strategy and asset allocation for these portfolios as our UK footprint grows.
  • Balance Sheet Risk Management: Act as the first line of defense for the portfolio’s financial risks. You will identify, measure, and monitor structural interest rate risk and Foreign Exchange (FX) exposures to safeguard the balance sheet.
  • Funding & Intragroup Arrangements: Manage regional funding requirements, including the oversight of intragroup funding arrangements (term and intraday), capital optimisation, and cash forecasting.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure regional treasury operations meet all UK liquidity and capital preservation expectations (leveraging your experience with liquidity stress testing and capital adequacy frameworks).
  • Group Collaboration: Act as the primary bridge between the UK business and our global Treasury execution desk, translating portfolio risk management and ALM needs into actionable requirements.

This role will suit you if you have

  • A Regulated Treasury Background: You have strong experience working within a UK-regulated financial institution (such as a sophisticated capital-regulated FinTech/EMI, investment firm, building society, or regulated bank).
  • Liquid Asset & Portfolio Expertise: You possess a deep understanding of liquid asset buffers, liquidity metrics, and the nuances of managing high-quality fixed income portfolios.
  • Asset-Liability Management (ALM) Grip: You are comfortable identifying and monitoring structural balance sheet risks. Strong familiarity with ALM principles, interest rate risk management, and balance sheet dynamics is essential.
  • Regulatory Fluency: You are familiar with UK regulatory liquidity expectations, capital requirements, and stress testing processes (e.g., ICARA or ILAAP/ICAAP concepts).
  • Autonomy & Influence: You thrive as an individual contributor within a broader team. You are comfortable being the dedicated treasury expert for a specific business line while collaborating seamlessly with a global function.
  • An Analytical Edge: You are comfortable with data, possess financial modeling skills, and prefer automated, scalable solutions over manual spreadsheet tracking.
