More about our mission and what we offer.

Job Description

At Wise, we build and launch truly amazing products designed to give our customers smart & impactful solutions to their international money challenges. But creating ground-breaking products is only half the battle - we need everyone to know about them, understand them, and feel genuinely inspired to use them.

As a Senior Strategist, you will have strong creative judgement to help our target audience understand how Wise solves their international money problems.  You will make sense of complex marketing & business problems, bringing together business priorities with customer & market insights to identify where creative can support business growth.  You will write excellent, focused & inspiring creative briefs, and work closely with creative teams to deliver campaigns spanning channels such as Paid Social, Paid Display, Audio and more from idea to final execution.

What you’ll be doing

  • Bring clarity to complex marketing problems: Work with product, marketing and regional teams to unpack broad or ambiguous challenges. Ask the right questions, connect the available evidence and establish priorities, defining the problem we need to solve and the role creative can play.

  • Find the insight that unlocks the creative: Bring together customer research, market context and performance learnings to identify the motivations, tensions and barriers our communications need to address. Turn these into a clear strategic direction and the change we want to make.

  • Write creative briefs that inspire great work: Translate customer & market insights, and creative performance insights into focused, compelling creative briefs with clear objectives, audience insight and proposition. Giving creative teams a clear & inspiring starting point from which to develop bold, distinctive ideas.

  • Raise the quality of the work through creative critique: Assess creative concepts and executions against creative briefs - ensuring alignment to insights, and market priorities. Articulate what’s working, what isn’t and why, giving specific, constructive feedback that improves the work while preserving the strength of the idea.

  • Reinvent & own customer comms: Lead the strategic direction and storytelling of our quarterly "Mission Update" customer comms - turning company & product updates from functional comms into bold, engaging & memorable moments for our customers.

  • Connect data to creative impact: Interpret channel performance data across media channels into clear creative recommendations on what to test, refine, or scale, ensuring every creative asset drives measurable results.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A proven track record in creative strategy, alongside broader marketing experience. You understand how customer needs, product messaging, media placement and commercial objectives come together, and can apply that to defined creative projects.

  • A knack for turning functional product messaging into fun, engaging narratives that will get customers using our products.

  • Strong creative judgement and an excellent ability to critique work. You can explain why an idea or execution will connect with its audience and deliver on the brief, identify where it falls short, and give actionable feedback grounded in strategy.

  • Comfortable interpreting channel performance metrics (i.e. CTR / CPA / conversion ... etc) to understand which creative narratives resonate best, and iterating for maximum impact.

  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to unite product, creative, and performance media teams around bold creative ideas.

  • A self-starter attitude - comfortable identifying comms gaps & pushing initiatives through to completion

  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

What’s in it for you?

You’ll be part of a team of exceptionally talented marketers who consistently break new ground in the way they engage customers.

Within Wise we operate in a flat structure, you’ll be in charge of your own workload and focus areas, giving you the chance to have a huge impact in one of the UK’s fastest growing & most successful startups.
