As a solutions desk, we specialize in complex derivatives strategies, partnering directly with traders and sales teams to generate actionable trade ideas and provide in-depth market analysis across all asset classes—from equities and fixed income, to commodities and crypto. Role Summary
We're looking for someone at the crossroads of technology and financial markets to leverage and apply AI tools on the trading desk. Together, we will develop tools, dashboards, infographics, and market intelligence, then ultimately generate actionable trade ideas across all asset classes. The role combines technical prowess with market intuition: a creative strategist who can code and with hands-on understanding of AI to uncover patterns and translate complex data into compelling frameworks.
Responsibilities
The Strategist will focus on applying AI and modern data tools to enhance how market intelligence is generated, visualized, and consumed across the trading floor:
- Apply AI tools on the trading desk.
- Develop tools, dashboards, infographics, and market intelligence, then ultimately generate actionable trade ideas across all asset classes
- Visual Analytics, Dashboards & Infographics
- Design and build visually compelling dashboards, interactive tools, and infographics that communicate market dynamics, positioning, volatility regimes, and thematic trends clearly to traders, sales, and clients.
- Automation & Scalable Research Tool
- Develop automated workflows, data pipelines, and AI-driven processes to streamline market monitoring, thematic analysis, and idea generation—reducing manual effort and increasing speed to insight.
- AI Tool Development
- Build and iterate AI-powered tools to surface non-obvious relationships, scenario analyses, and structural opportunities relevant to derivatives and cross-asset strategies.
- Market Context & Product Awareness
- Maintain a strong working understanding of financial markets.
- Collaboration with Trading & Sales
- Partner with traders, sales, and structuring teams to translate AI-driven insights and visual analytics into discussion frameworks.
- Innovation & Design-Led Thinking
- Continuously explore new AI capabilities, visualization techniques, and data sources, bringing a design-first, user-centric mindset to how insights are delivered on the desk.

Competencies, Skills and Experience

- Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any discipline, with clear evidence of strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and transferable technical or design skills
- AI & Data Tooling
- Hands-on experience with AI and modern data tools (e.g. LLMs, embeddings, NLP, pattern recognition, or similar applied techniques)
- Ability to apply AI techniques to unstructured and semi-structured data (news, text, flows, research, alternative data)
- Programming & Automation
- Proficiency in Python (or similar), with experience building automated workflows, data pipelines, or analytical tools
- Familiarity with APIs, databases, and data ingestion processes
- Visualization & Dashboarding
- Demonstrated ability to design and build dashboards and visual analytics (e.g. Plotly, Dash, Streamlit, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent)
- Strong visual judgement, attention to detail, and user-centric design mindset
- Market & Product Awareness
- Interest in and working familiarity with financial markets and derivatives across one or more asset classes
- Ability to frame outputs in a commercially relevant way for a trading or solutions desk (without requiring pricing ownership)
- Experience & Communication
- Experience in data analysis, software development, research, design, or a closely related field
- Able to clearly communicate insights and tools to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; comfortable contributing to internal and client-facing materials
