Why this job is important
As an Accountant, Intercompany Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the management and reconciliation of intercompany transactions. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist in processing and reconciling intercompany transactions, including sales orders creation, accruals, and settlements as outlined in the Intercompany Handbook.
- Prepare and upload manual journal entries for intercompany recharges and settlements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support monthly intercompany balance reconciliations related to trade transactions, identify and resolve mismatches, and ensure timely settlement of intercompany invoices.
- Address and resolve intercompany transaction mismatches and disputes, ensuring timely communication and resolution with counterparts.
- Compile and maintain intercompany reports, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to resolve intercompany discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage the settlement of intercompany balances, including the preparation of payment selection files, and performing calculations in netting files.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including extracting trial balances, updating balance sheets, and preparing intercompany reconciliation templates.
The skills & experience needed as Accountant, Intercompany Specialist
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in intercompany accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Deltek Maconomy, OneStream, and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of intercompany accounting principles and practices.
