Why this job is important

As a Senior Accountant, Intercompany Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and resolve complex intercompany reconciliations, including identifying root causes of discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee the settlement of intercompany balances, including the preparation of payment selection files, updating invoices in CoProcess, and performing calculations in netting files.
• Lead the month-end close process, including extracting trial balances, updating balance sheets, and preparing intercompany reconciliation templates.
• Address and resolve intercompany transaction mismatches and disputes, ensuring timely communication and resolution with counterparts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of intercompany accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, including maintaining accurate documentation and audit trails.
• Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to resolve intercompany issues and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Prepare and present strategic reports on intercompany transactions, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and update intercompany accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organisation.

The skills & experience needed as Senior Accountant, Intercompany Specialist

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in intercompany accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with Deltek Maconomy, OneStream, and ServiceNow.

• Advanced knowledge of intercompany accounting principles and practices.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
