Why this job is important
As a Manager in Financial Accounting, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic and integrated Finance function. You will be responsible for delivering operational Finance specialist services, ensuring processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to manage customer interactions more effectively and provide a better user experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as a specialised individual contributor for a pre-determined area or region.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in direct collaboration with the senior manager and country controller.
- Support the senior manager in delivering all internal and external audits for group and local purposes.
- Prepare tax reports, including VAT returns, Intrastat returns, and EC sales lists, and manage corporate tax payments.
- Administer purchase orders and maintain chart of accounts/GL master data.
- Support the senior manager on entity migrations and business combinations.
- Handle company secretarial activities.
- Support the country controller on ad hoc accounting and analytical queries.
- Ensure that control activities are being executed by each accountant in a harmonised way.
The skills & experience needed as Manager, Financial Accounting
- Proven experience in accounting operations or experience working in a finance Shared Service Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting principles and practices.
- Proficient English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and to communicate efficiently with senior partners and management.
- Strong financial, analytical, communication and project management skills.
- Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end.
