Lead technical design and architecture for Verifone's global payment gateway backend. Drive microservice architecture, ensure security and scalability, mentor engineers, own system reliability and performance, and remain hands‑on with Java/Spring Boot services and MongoDB in a high‑availability payments environment.

Design, build, and operate high-performance, secure backend microservices for a global payment gateway using Java and Spring Boot. Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and security across regions; implement APIs, data models (NoSQL/MongoDB), testing, and CI/CD practices.

Lead and manage MySQL architectures for high availability and performance across cloud and on-prem environments. Own clustering, backups, HA/DR, upgrades, monitoring, security/compliance, tuning, automation, releases, and mentor engineers.

Operate and support Kafka clusters (MSK and on-prem), manage Kafka Connect ecosystem (Debezium, KSQL, Schema Registry), troubleshoot producers/consumers, implement HA/backup strategies, automate provisioning (IaC/scripting), monitor and tune cluster performance, support incident response and on-call, and document operational procedures.

The Senior Network Engineer will lead the migration of Cisco-based network infrastructure to AWS, involving design, configuration, testing, and optimization of cloud networking solutions.
