Vantor Employee Perspectives

Tell us about Vantor’s mission. How does that mission influence the company culture, and did it impact your decision to join the team?

At Vantor, our mission is to forge the new frontier of spatial intelligence. Through Vantor’s software and spatial foundation, which consists of satellite imagery collected by Vantor’s imaging satellites, 2D global basemaps and 3D terrain data, we’re creating a living digital replica of Earth that can help government and commercial decision-makers understand what’s happening in the world right now and, more importantly, shape what’s coming next. This digital earth can also serve as a connective tissue across autonomous systems, serving as a spatial source of truth for all sensors within a delivery drone network or intelligence operation.

This ambitious mission, of forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, is the absolute core of Vantor’s culture. It attracts a certain type of person; at Vantor, we’re a team of problem-solvers, changemakers and go-getters. There’s a powerful sense of purpose here because we’re not just developing software; we’re collaborating to build the next big thing that addresses real, global challenges.

For me, that mission was the deciding factor. I didn’t just want a job; I wanted to contribute to groundbreaking work and to make a positive impact on building a safer, more efficient world. The chance to help build a more automated and connected world, and to have direct ownership over my work, was an opportunity I had to take.

From your perspective, how does your work connect to the overall company mission?

My work connects directly to Vantor’s mission every single day. The "living digital replica of Earth" isn't just a marketing phrase; it's a real, complex platform we're all building together, piece by piece, at Vantor.

For example, I'm currently leading a team working on developing a product to monitor thousands of locations globally and apply AI/ML to understand activity, patterns, trends, and behaviors. We're integrating live data — from multiple sensors — into this digital twin of these sites. My specific contribution involves helping our product and engineering teams prioritize work around the customer and market use cases that have the highest value — and those that can contribute most to safety and security.

When our system helps a customer detect a threat, focus their attention on what matters most today, or help predict what’s coming next, I can see a direct line from my product to our mission of helping operators shape and understand what’s coming next. It's incredibly rewarding to know my work helps Vantor’s customers make better decisions more efficiently. Vantor’s work is a powerful force for good, shaping a more safe and secure world for everyone.

What advice would you give a jobseeker hoping to join Vantor?

My best advice is to show us your passion for solving big problems. Vantor is looking to hire people who are genuinely excited by the mission to change the world. Don’t just tell us what you’ve done; tell us how you think and how you approach complex challenges. We want to see that “go-getter” attitude and examples of output you’ve delivered to contribute.

Be prepared to talk about collaboration. We achieve our ambitious goals by working with brilliant minds, so highlighting your experience as a team player is crucial. We want people who are eager to take ownership of their work and drive results but who also know that the best ideas come from working together.

Finally, come ready to show us how you see the world differently. Our tagline is also our philosophy: “See the world differently. Be seen differently.” We value unique perspectives. Show us what makes you tick and how your unique viewpoint will help us forge this new frontier. We’re looking for individuals who can combine a unique viewpoint with a collaborative spirit to help Vantor change the world.
