Leads E3G’s global industry portfolio and international industrial decarbonisation initiatives. Responsibilities include managing distributed teams, workplans, budgets, grants, risks, fundraising, stakeholder partnerships, and policy engagement. The role develops thought leadership, represents E3G with governments, funders, media, and international forums, and coordinates initiatives across major economies to support low-carbon industrial development.

Leads E3G’s UNFCCC and climate diplomacy engagement, advancing international cooperation through political analysis, research, advocacy, communications, and relationship-building. The role influences governments, negotiators, and stakeholders across climate, finance, trade, energy, adaptation, and resilience agendas. It manages a small team, complex projects, and donor relationships while developing policy outputs and diplomatic pathways. The position requires deep UNFCCC experience, strong international networks, thought leadership, consensus-building skills, and the ability to operate across government, business, media, and civil society.

Supports E3G’s Climate Diplomacy and Geopolitics Programme by developing climate diplomacy strategies, researching international climate and foreign policy, monitoring geopolitical developments, coordinating internal work, and engaging government, civil society, business, and finance stakeholders. The role involves preparing briefings and reports, convening workshops and discussions, building partnerships, influencing decision-makers, and contributing to multilateral engagement across the UNFCCC, G7, and G20. International travel is required.

Coordinates end-to-end recruitment across E3G’s international offices, supporting managers with role definition, advertising, candidate screening, interviews, offers, onboarding paperwork, and inductions. The role also analyzes recruitment metrics, improves sourcing processes, supports employer branding, headhunts through LinkedIn, and ensures recruitment best practices and effective candidate communication.
