We operate two core products:

  • NALA, our consumer app makes cross-border payments cheaper, faster and more reliable for the global diaspora. Allowing users to send money from the UK, US and EU to Africa and Asia.
  • Rafiki, our B2B payments infrastructure, is powering global payments for global giants like MoneyGram & Western Union.

Our team includes alumni from Wise, Stripe, Monzo, Revolut, and CashApp — operators who've scaled world-class products. We act with urgency, think deeply, and put our customers first always.

At NALA, this isn't just a job. It's ownership, impact, and the chance to change global payments forever.

🙌 Your Mission

Make NALA's London office the best place our team has ever worked! A space that runs flawlessly and feels unmistakably NALA. You'll own how it feels to walk through the door: the rituals that bring people together, a brilliant welcome for every new joiner, and the day-to-day operations that mean nobody has to think about whether the office works, it just does.

🎯 Your Responsibilities in this Role
  • The office. Run our London (Canary Wharf) space day-to-day — supplies, vendors, facilities, health & safety and front-of-house. You make sure the place works and feels good to be in.
  • Culture & experience. Own the rituals that make NALA, NALA. Things like socials, celebrations, team lunches, offsites and the in-office moments that bring people together.
  • New joiners. Deliver a brilliant first day and first week; Desk ready, welcome sorted, onboarding logistics smooth — so people feel part of NALA from day one.
  • People operations support. Keep our systems tidy (HiBob admin, benefits and perks), be the friendly first point of contact for everyday "how do I…" questions, and support the People team on projects.
  • Support our executive leadership team where possible, acting as auxiliary support alongside their dedicated EAs.
🔥 Must-have requirements
  • You've run an office or workplace before (office manager, workplace, EA-plus or similar) and you're proud of how it ran.
  • You genuinely enjoy the people side — culture, events, making people feel looked after — not just the logistics.
  • You're organised, proactive and high-agency: you spot what needs doing and do it without being asked.
  • You're warm, approachable and discreet — people trust you with the small things and the sensitive ones.
  • You're comfortable in a fast-moving scale-up where the to-do list changes by the hour.
💪 Nice to have requirements
  • Exposure to HR systems (HiBob or similar), onboarding or benefits administration.
  • Experience in a fintech, tech or other fast-growth environment.
  • An interest in growing into People Operations — there's a real path here.
✅ Success in the role looks like3-Month Metrics
  • The London office runs so smoothly nobody has to think about it; vendors, supplies and facilities all on top of.
  • Onboarding logistics fully owned — every new joiner's first week is seamless.
  • First in-office social delivered end-to-end.
  • Established as the person the London team goes to first — and trusts to sort it.
6-Month Metrics
  • A full culture calendar running, including at least one larger team moment (offsite / all-hands social) delivered end-to-end.
  • HiBob, benefits and perks administration tidy and reliable.
  • Strong, measurable team feedback on the in-office experience.
