Job Description:

What will I be doing:

As a Workday HCM Lead, you will be responsible for owning the configuration, maintenance, and optimisation of Darktrace’s Workday Human Capital Management platform. This role is central to ensuring our Workday ecosystem supports both day‑to‑day global HR operations and broader strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to enhance system effectiveness, drive automation, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.

You will also be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Leading the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, and Recruiting,
  • Collaborating with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and translate them into effective Workday solutions,
  • Managing and executing bi‑annual Workday releases, including impact analysis, regression testing, and stakeholder communications,
  • Developing and maintaining Workday integrations with third‑party systems to ensure accuracy and seamless data flow,
  • Providing expert‑level support and troubleshooting for Workday issues, identifying root causes and delivering long-term solutions,
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for Workday configurations, workflows, and integrations,
  • Training HR users and supporting them to get the best out of the system.
  • Staying up to date on Workday roadmap features and recommending enhancements to improve system performance and usability,
  • Partnering with IT and security teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and robust access governance,
  • Leading or contributing to Workday-related projects, including new module implementations, system enhancements, and process optimisation initiatives.
What experience do I need:

We’re seeking an experienced Workday professional with a strong technical background and a deep understanding of HR processes. You will be confident in your ability to configure, optimise, and support a global Workday environment, while partnering closely with HR and IT stakeholders. You should be:

  • Highly experienced in Workday HCM, with hands‑on configuration across multiple modules such as Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, and Recruiting,
  • Skilled in Workday implementation, configuration, and support within a global organisation,
  • Strong in your understanding of HR business processes and how they translate into Workday functionality,
  • Proficient in Workday reporting and analytics, including custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards,
  • Experienced with Workday integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Studio) — highly desirable,
  • An excellent communicator, able to simplify technical concepts for non‑technical audiences,
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment, with strong project management capabilities,
  • Ideally Workday-certified (beneficial but not essential).
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Benefits:

  • 23 days’ holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service,

  • Additional day off for your birthday,

  • Private medical insurance which covers you, your cohabiting partner and children,

  • Life insurance of 4 times your base salary,

  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme,

  • Enhanced family leave,

  • Confidential Employee Assistance Program,

  • Cycle to work scheme.
